Remember everyone, harmonix is made up of musicians, therefore like anyone else who likes what might be considered "obscure" music they want to share it with people. Best way for them to do that is put it as DLC, not to say there won't be huge songs, but they have stated in the past they want to introduce us to new music (this was a while ago like around GH II).

And just to plant an idea in peoples heads', Good Times, Bad Times by Godsmack would be a really good download. Just think about it...I'm not even a Godsmack fan.

No, dammit, we want REAL Led Zep, not a cover by a crappy band. And just think, that would involve licensing rights from not one, but two bands...So if they could do that, better just get the original.

Well, I did it. I downloaded Roam and Calling Dr. Love last night. Roam is a little boreing, but my wife loved it. Calling Dr. Love is great on drums... hell, I liked the song much more than I thought I would. Ended up playing it several times.

OK, Taking Back Sunday is kinda emo-y at times (not that there's anything wrong with that), but I don't see how you consider Thrice or Rise Against to not be Rock...and pretty awesome rock, at that. If you don't know anything by either band, do yourself a favor and look them up.
And take back what you said about Bang Camaro. They rule. AND they rock. I just saw them Monday night at the Khyber, it was a phenomenal show.

My biggest disappointment this week (other than a second Faith No MOre song for some reason) is the audio quality of Calling Dr. Love. It's been a while since I listened to that studio recording, but it sounds awful compared to everything else on the game. it almost sounds mono or something. Based on the quality of that recording they should have picked a different Kiss song.

No, songs often are lesser known because they weren't hyped or radio stations weren't incented to play them. There are plenty of bands who have very popular songs that the bands themselves consider to be of very poor quality. "Cherry Pie," anyone?

A song being well-known is not necessarily a measure of how good it is. It is possibly a measure of how marketable it is.

For all of you haters, I am more than positive that you guys are going to forgive Harmonix once they release something that YOU like. If you truly want to see songs by your favorite bands, time is just a small obstacle.

As for this week's DLC, I have fallen in love with Roam and Calling Dr. Love. They're so catchy. Thanks for introducing me to even more new songs Harmonix : ]
