New DLC Week of 2/05/08

Consider this thread of hate to be a precursor to when you inevidibly release Fall Out Boy DLC.

But anyways, no hate from me in a 2nd post in this thread. Again, songs arn't my cup of tea. But I'm sure that people out there will buy them, and I'll probably actually end up buying FNM's song.

I would love "Cherry Pie" Great licks and easy to sing!

As far as the thirty something comment. thats off base because most guys my age would like new rock band music just as much as 80 and 70's bands.

Zombie, Velvet Revolver, Audio Slave, Daughtry, Nickleback, name it just play what was popular on the radio 2 out of 3 songs. Cover or not, it maters not.

I thing they just need to offer more songs every week. At this rate were talking 164 songs a year. It their current choice hold true for the rest of the year I will only purchase about 1/3 of them. Looking at most of the comments the active RB public are not satisfied. Look at some of the comments from early DLC releases. That is just ******ed when you compare that to how much money they could make if they gave us more songs weekly

I would be interested if HMX would explain the process that involves releasing a song. If they cant help the 3 song trickle and tell us why then there would not be so much griping.

I'll pick up the Kiss song and the B-52's song. I'll still be waiting patiently for the Queen songs... just waiting... Waiting for Queen-a band that is perfect for Rock Band...just waiting...

I second that , really.... Queen needs to be here. But on another note ..I honestly dont have a problem with any of the dlc content and im not going to nessisarily complain either. Just a quiet suggestion ...."A little Bohemian Rhapsody anyone?"

And I see you neglected to mention how the point is still the same. More people are disappointed with the DLC than actually like it

I know this is probably way too much to ask, but man would it cut down on the griping if we knew why a song was picked. Even if the explanation was "Steve the developer LOVES Faith No More and wanted that song on there." At least we would know why that song was picked. Or if they said we got a better price for using 2 of XXXXXX's song instead of just 1. It would be so nice to know why certian songs were being selected for DLC.

I would like to see a variety each week too. Instead of a Thrash Pack or a Metal pack why not have 2 or 3 different types of songs so there is something for everyone? Like this week with B-52's, then Kiss. Totally different.

So here's the thing. Eventually these DLC threads kind of get to this point where it degenerates to something not terribly useful - especially in the announcements section. So here's what we do - I am going to lock this thread and you guys still posting can take it to the Ultimate Setlist section. New DLC announcements will continue to go up here (but be locked) and conversations about it can move to that section. Readability FTW!
