I thought they were a pretty successful rock band from the 80s and 90s, I don't watch MTV exclusively, or rely on them to tell me what is "a hit" or not. "We Care A Lot" mocks all the Live AID, and We are the World crap that was all over MTV in the 80s.

FNM song they chose is a fun choice, but please, Barry Manilow 13, we should formally request Harmonix use YOU, yes YOU as the prime model for all DLC. Can we please request all DLC be approved by Manilow first from now on?

Harmonix says:

"We're committed to putting out really well done tracks that everyone can enjoy. Keep an eye on the forums for updates and we'll let you know what tracks are coming out as soon as it's possible. We'll be sticking to a weekly update in the coming month, so check back on Monday!""

Man those guys are HORRIBLE, trying to get "everyone" to enjoy stuff. GRR!!!

Keep in mind that on my ipod or my regular playlist I'd say 25% of the stuff that's on Rock Band or GH2 I like alot and already listened to. I do not listen to the B-52s or even like Roam, and I don't like Rush, and I hate David Bowie. That's me, however I know there are lot of people that like these bands so why am I going to complain and rain on someone else's parade? For the record I've bought all the Rush songs, and some DB songs, why? Because even if >I< don't listen to their music all day long

I vote that next week, when the DLC is announced and if it isn't Who's Next, or The Grateful Dead, whoever first mentions them gets perma-banned.

Its like a less fun version of Russian Roulette.

DONT YOU KNOW HAMRONIXSSSS THAT I PLAY ALL FOUR INSTRUMENTS AND THAT EVERY SONG HAS TO APPEAL TO ME

WITH 52 WEEKS IN A YEAR AND 3+ SONGS A WEEK HOW CAN YOU NOT BE GIVING ME 150+++ OF MY FAVORITE SONGS THIS WEEK LIKE:

- My favorite obscure indie band that plays songs using a kazoo, 2 tuning forks, and a harpsicord
- My favorite well known rock band that refuses to give the rights of their song to anyone unless they pay 5 million dollars per note.
- My favorite obscure B-side song from my completely unpopular garage band.

COME ON HARMONIZZ YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT ROCK BAND was supposed to appeal to a NICHE GROUP OF ELITE LOSERS that equate musical preference as a way to express SOCIAL/INTELLECTUAL SUPERIORITY, this isn't some MAINSTREAM game with WIDE APPEAL.

/end sarcastic rant

Lame.

Roam?! Could have done without it.

We got the best Faith No More song there is... no need for more.

More Kiss songs? Not necessary.

To all of those who are making sarcastic remarks, telling off people who do not like it, whatever . . .

The fact if the matter is that HMX seems to be on this kick. They release bands that people like, but not the songs that are wanted.

I am a music lover. My rock folder on my HDD is over 15GB. I know my rock music. I love the obscure tracks as well. I listen to Fallout Boy, All AMerican Rejects, Bullet for My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, GNR, Poison, the Scorpions, Spin Doctors, Candlebox, Soundgarden, Nirvana, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Elvis . . . in other words, I listen to EVERYTHING.

The point is, people want to sing with their friends what they hear on the radio. Not some obscure song. It is fine to throw some in there every once in awhile. Same with the indy tracks. I agree with you saying that no one is going to be pleased with all the tracks. That is agreeable. But this week is just outragous. I could think of so many other songs that would have more of an impact than these songs.

And to make it worse, it is like this every week. Read what people are saying. Most say that they would rather have Rock Lobster than Roam. The other week, people did not like the Maiden song, but all preferred a different one. It is like this week in and week out. It just proves my point that they have the bands right, just not the songs.

Nevermind the fact that they keep pushing out same bands. How many Rush tracks do we have. How many Sabbath tracks. Now how many Foo Fighters, or Weezer, or Rolling Stones, or . . .

To the people who say 52 weeks in a tear x 3 songs per week. That is 156 songs. That leaves 156 songs out of the thousands and thousands of songs that they can choose from. And yet, the record shows, that we will continue to get these obscure songs that 1 or 2 people in my party are even going to recognize? Please.

If they are going to do that, then start releasing more songs per week and make it a good mix of well known (heard on the radio alot) songs vs obscure/B sides/indy
