As long as you guys don't release Beth, I'll download every Kiss song you can muster (yes, even the 70's Kissco stuff). I can already picture myself strumming along and singing Dr. Love.
Roam is a great choice. It'll make a great party song and my wife will sing it to death. In my experience, during Rock Band parties the women do 80% of the singing. Might as well give 'em the songs they want.
I'm going to pass on Faith No More. While the song is alright, I think that the intro to Dirty Jobs is about as long as I can stand it. I'm sure the bass would be fun to play, but the drums and guitar seem pretty m'eh and the lyrics are uber repetitive.
I would really like to see a bigger "spread" in the content each week to keep the *****ing to a minimum. I know it's a lot easier said than done due to licensing, remixing, animating, etc. but if the three songs represented three very different tastes each week at least people would generally have one thing to download. Putting out three thrash metal songs in one week is sure to get no money from me. But putting out one heavy metal song, one mainstream rock song, and one indy or light rock song would have a good chance of giving at least one song that everyone would like. If the Faith No More from this week had been Iron Maiden or Deathklok instead, I'm sure there would have been a lot less whining.
Yea I am venting on people, because they are complaining about something stupid, something they don't even need. I am sick of people's attitudes thinking they are the only ones that matter. There are people out there that haven't have a single week of DLC they like, and let's say this is the week they get, and other people are *****ing cause not all the songs are meant for them.
Again, you don't NEED to download the DLC, or maybe just be more open-minded about stuff, it never hurt anyone. This isn't your MP3 player, it is a game where you emulate the instruments, have fun with it, and stop getting so overworked that you don't like something they aren't forcing on you.
They have every right to complain, but some people are childish about it and rip on HMX saying they suck, also saying the bands suck. I guess I shouldn't get worked up over it, it doesn't affect me, but I guess sometimes reading some of these idiotic posts get me frustrated as much as the DLC get these people frustrated.
I guess I don't need to read all these posts, but some are interesting, and some are just nonsensical babel.
That felt good
Why is it that members of this forum feel the need to announce the bands they want in Rock Band in every one of the DLC Week announcements? It's just silly, in my view. There's a complete subforum for that, so do the requesting there. Then again, more people do view these topics...
But it's sorta annoying when there's a page full of people requesting the same bands over and over again mixed with people complaining that Harmonix isn't doing their job 'right.' Oh well, can't really win them all.
Other than that, B-52's! Awesome! And some more KISS! I'm not too fond of Faith No More, but I may check it out. After all, I ended up liking the Oasis pack (don't know if that makes me a minority or not) and I merely 'checked it out.'
Oh yeah I'm totally pinin' for ya alright
Guess you thought you could just watch
Meh. DOn;t care for this weeks. Hopefully the Red Hot Chili Peppers rumor is true.
We Care A Lot! YES! That's what I'm talking about! One of my favorite Faith No More songs!
I'm incredibly enthusiastic if you didn't notice.
The only dlc I've liked so far is the black sabbath, stp song, and ccr song. This week is not that great but it's hard to please everyone, I understand that. I think the people who are over ecstatic about every single song that is released need to realize that criticism helps the devs work towards stuff everyone can agree on (although not entirely possible), otherwise if nobody said anything they'd be losing some money and would be pleasing less people than they hope. The people criticizing everything need to understand that they are people... It's not like they have some magic program that spits out 50 songs of dlc a week (which would be pretty sweet) but they can't please everyone, every week, all they can do is try. It's a loop you'll have your weeks.
