Can someone tell me how you get a pic by your name when you post in here! I can't figure it out and figured it'd be easier to ask someone on here that already has one!

I for one have a couple dead bands that are no longer on my harddrive. I wish they would only show my current ones. I've seen a few other folks with them too. I love the community as its set up for the most part but wish there was a feature to remove dead bands off your personal page.

a music creator would definetly cut down debates and brawls as far as music tastes go but i completely understand how hard and some difficulties that is presented in the process....
I may not have many posts on the forum but I have been on this community site well before the game came out and had a few thoughts.
One was bashing people's music taste, is simply in poor taste. The DLC won't suit everyone every single week and there isn't any reason to pour on the haterade when someone mentions a band you don't happen to like. Also all the whinning is unnecessary. The guys at harmonix see what gets sold for DLC, you don't need to tell them over and over again if you think a band sucks or they should have picked a better song by that band. Monet talks, and so does a lack of money.
Now I'm not against opinion because everyone has one and they can be different, it's just a few of us on here could work on our delivery when expressing how we feel about a given topic.
Oh yeah and some earlier poster had put about the dead bands still showing up on the site, it'd be nice if that got fixed along with dead band members.
From what I've seen concerning DLC, everybody wants their personal top five released yesterday. why not thats only natural, you buy the game with the intention of believing that your a rock star. You want YOUR rock fantasy. However it has been stated by the HMX that unlike neversoft who is already planning on releasing GH 4 in a year (just as they killed the Tony Hawk series) harmonix has no immediate plans to release a sequel. So does it make any sense to release all the greatest songs in the first 2 months and then 2 years down the road we get b-sides and endless indy bands. It only makes sense to spread things out.
Sure posting a list of Bands that have so far refuse to sell the rights to there songs would be great. But do you really think that it would cut down on the amount of people saying " where's the beatles, zep, etc. " you are still going to get the same people asking the same questions. As a business owner I know that people don't read or heed what they don't want to accept.
Content isn't going to change the forums, sure some changes would make life easier but you can't keep the whiners from whining. Those that feel their $170 is worth more then the next name on the thread. I think that the rep system that MS uses would be your best tactic against the people that
are causing havic among the forums. if your rep gets too low, out comes the banhammer, let the people decide who is unfit for the forums. there is no sense in hmx wasting man power policing the forums thats one less person creating content.
Thanks for allowing me the space to share my deep thoughts
What it hurts is the relationship between Harmonix and that band.
"Yeah, we said 'no' in the past, but we were still thinking it over. But you made an announcement that got our fans mad at us! If you thought we were unwilling to work with you before, you ain't seen nothin' yet!"
There's a lot of stuff that folks want to know that Harmonix can't reasonably tell us, because it will damage them to tell us. The state of negotiations with individual artists might easily count in that set -- I can easily see artists wanting their negotiations to be confidential.
I just joined 2nite and like what I see so far. The people on here seem to be very in tune to what is best for rock band and very helpful at answering some of my questions. I did not like the fact that I expressed the fact that I don't want or need anymore Police tracks...but that is just my opinion, and just got trampled on by a guy calling me a moron. All in all, you guys are doin a great job and even though I don't like alot of the dlc's, I love the game. You could throw John Tesh or Yanni into the game and chances are I would download them. You guys can honestly make the worst crap smell sweet. Awesome job
