Hardcore/Metalcore Fans?

Terror

Full Blown Chaos
100 Demons
Death Before Dishonor
If Hope Dies

Of course I expect "Ihatesh*ttymetalcore" to come in here and flame, but whatever. We all have our preferences.

Here are my fave Metalcore/Hardcore bands: Killwitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Walls of Jericho, and As I Lay Dying.

of all the -core bands i gotta say i hate nintendocore the worst. ****ing hate horse the band. i hate em so much i will not respect them by capitalizing the word horse just for their conveniecne. oh yeah did forget to mention hardcore/metalcore blows??

the only band that is considered metalcore for some ******ed reason that i can not comprehend that owns beyond belief is mastodon. clearly not metalcore but they are often lumped in with those ******s, so i'll refer to them as that.

also machinehead's latest album was fantastic if you consider that metalcore too

I don't even know this Horse band you speak of. But Mastodon is not metalcore, they just fall somewhere in one of those thousands of metal categories.

Killwitch Engage, Shadows Fall, and As I Lay Dying <----those aren't metalcore, just metal, but still good bands. Though Killswitch went too soft. I liked their first album.

Walls of Jericho are good, better live though.

And of course I have to reply to battle_axe. Not only did you use words like "******ed" and "******s" which are definitely against the TOS, but your negativity is not needed.

This thread was directed to people who are fans of the 2 genre's, not ***holes like you who have to put everything down. You don't like it? Fine, just ignore this thread and move on. I didn't go into the MCR thread and bash them on their preference. Grow up dude.

Also, Machinehead is not even close to Metalcore, so obviously you don't even know what Metalcore is, therefore your opinion is void.

Anyway, anyone else have good hardcore bands they love? I'd love to find more I don't know about.

lmao you think kse, shadows fall, and as i lay dying aren't metalocre when of course they are the archetype of what metalcore is so YOUR opinion is void.

also lol i diss the bands and the grene themselves and you go ahead and attack me, way to take the high ground there mister

i go into whatever thread i want and post an opinion on whatever band i want. if there is a pink floyd band thread i'll go in there and say pink floyd dominates all souls, and if its a dream theater thread i'll go in there and say it blows. its up to someone else to bring me back in here and defend myself. people always use this "respect our opinions" bull**** whenever i diss their favorite band, yet they don't respect mine and let it be. for christ sake there's going to be someone who dislikes a band of yours so just ****ing accept it and continue on. like i've said before this forum (or any forum for that matter) would be a boring failure if everyone agreed on everything.

and about machinehead notice how i put in "if you consider it metalcore" which should have made it obvious that i dont' consider them metalcore you moron.

mastodon is prog-metal.

as for all the other bands, the first time i heard a few of these bands i thought "hey this aint bad" i mean, it had good hooks, aggressive vox and some decent speed. but then i heard another harcore/metalcore band... and another... then they blurred together and i realised. ITS JUST THE SAME ****!!!!! and the more i listened the more i realised how mediocre it all is.

this might sound cliched but i honestly don't have a favorite music genre. i love metal, i love prog, i love world music, i love rap, etc etc etc

also this is my problem with the genre. i wouldn't mind it if the vocals were better and without the breakdowns, and if every band didn't sound the same. hell about 90% of these two genres have the word dying in their name or some type of variation of "death". over-exaggeration i know, but still

also the lyrics are the same horrible, "we will rise against those who oppose us" bull****
