What about Columbus day? That would be my least favorite I think, definately a pointless holiday.

And even though I don't know very many US holidays, I'd have to say St. Patrick's Day. Make your own damn holidays!

Its an insult to the people who lived here when the continent was "discovered", and also ignores the fact that at least one European reached America first.

Not to mention its a federal holiday in a 24/7 world trying to operate around it. St. Patrick's day isn't a holiday like that, its just a day to pretend to be Irish and drink green beer.

I gotta go with Columbus day, which didn't make your list. Nobody takes this one off besides Federal workers. Plus its a little insulting to Native Americans.

I don't really understand why we need a Veterans and a Memorial day.

KillAutumn, President's day was made to replace Lincoln and Washington days and turn 2 holidays into a single holiday. You're not supposed to celebrate all 3. I believe this was done when Martin Luther King day became a federal holiday - they added one and so they had to subtract one.

Because Veteran's Day honor's hero's while Memorial Day honor's dead hero's!
