Limelight was NOT fixed for me last time I checked. I guess I'll check again but I don't see why it'd be any different from the Police Pack.

Did you delete your entire game file and then redownload Limelight? That's what I had to do to make the Police Pack work. Just redownloading without deleting anything won't do anything. Sucks.

I can confirm that this works. Originally, only Brass in Pocket was fixed.
So i deleted the game file, and had to redownload like 37 songs, it took awhile, but the police pack now showed up in the Genre list and the Limelight vocal level was fixed. So if you got lots of free time, delete your game file and then d/l all your songs again. I think i could cue 16 downloads at once.

Well yes, I know you can do the wipe-and-redownload thing, but like others my game file is around 2.5 gigs and I don't have the patience to do that for something that really doesn't affect my day-to-day playing at all. Maybe on a rainy day I'll cue it up.

And just to confirm, your saved characters/bands are all in the save file, not the game file, right? Wouldn't want to accidentally delete my platinum artists or anything.

I'd say wiping and redownloading is going to be your only option as a ps3 owner. I don't see HMX either giving us the option to delete individual songs or fixing the patches so they replace the original in the near future. After all, we are the red-headed stepchildren.

Make sure you delete the GAME file, not the SAVE file, and you'll be fine. The game file is just the songs and patches and stuff. The save file is where your unlockables and gold stars and things are stored.

You have to have a US PSN store account.

Just noticed a (new?) erroneous sorting occurrence while playing tonight...

I noticed on my PS3 that Interstate Love song shows up under Rock, but both Sex Type Thing and Vaseline show up under Alternative.

Perhaps it's intentional. Bands can and often do straddle genres... but it seems weird. Anyone else have these songs showing up in the same spots/noticed this?

Yeah, so I just upgraded my PS3 Hard Drive to a 320gb, and instead of backup/restoring the Rock Band data file, I deleted it first and then redownloaded/reinstalled the songs from the store. Downloading 2gb+ in a sitting wasn't particularly fun, since I have all the songs (though, I admit that I considered not redownloading the Metallica and Thrash Packs, but since I payed for them, I figured I might as well...) But I digress. Anyways, lo and behold, I get into the game, and yep, the police songs are showing up and Limelight's vocals can be turned off. Harsh way to make us fix our data, but it works, so I'm content now.
