DLC Patch Notes - 2/26/08

Really, this isn't that big a deal. It seems the Police pack just didn't get updated as planned. Don't go trying to erase anything, and honestly, how many people even noticed that they didn't sort by genre before they said something? This is really a minor thing, and we shouldn't get too worked up over it. When it's fixed, he'll tell us.

Why are we not getting any official word on this? I would be happy with a, "Opps.. We forgot to update the Police pack for PS3.. We will get it on there next week." response..

Well, day 3 and they still won't even do that.. Again, it's not about getting worked up on just this one thing, my rant is about them following a pattern of issues with the PS3 and not owning up to them..

Maybe some of the issues don't effect me directly like the GH3 guitar not working, but they effect me indirectly.. The fact that we have so many missing or broken features on the PS3 version means that people with both machines will opt for the xbox version over the PS3 version.. Just look at the sales numbers... GH3 is owning RB on the PS3.. But RB has much better support over GH3 on the xbox.. This makes online play suck as it's very hard to get a full band on the PS3. I think my rant is fully justified and any quick search into the main forums will show that I'm not alone by any measure..

What's sad, they will use these sales numbers to justify to themselves not to spend any money on addressing PS3's issues.. But it's their own short commings causing RB do fail on the PS3, not the PS3 users or Sony.

Actually, I did notice it one time, but it was by complete coincidence. I was just curious how they categorize each song, and I happened to notice "Roxanne" wasn't there, while "Next to You" was closely nearby where the former should have been. I remember thinking it was a little weird. If it was a downloaded song by an artist not already in the game, I probably wouldn't have noticed.

I have all the DLC. So when I redownloaded the DLC patch, I had no problems with them in the game. I have PS3 and I haven't had a problem with the patch. The DLC is saved on the HHD so don't delete your game data, the DLC is not stored there. Just redownload from your Downloaded List, and you should have no problems.

How do you even say that the PS3 has all kinds of problems than the XBox Version? I do hate about the guitar problems, but that is not a big deal to me. XBL has all kinds of DRM problems, unlike PS3 has not problems with that. I dont beleive that will make people opt out and get RB2 for X360. I believe XBox people will opt out of the RB2 for XBOX and get it for PS3. XBox peolpe have the problems with spin downs and accessing there DLC in the game. Those two problems do not exist in the PS3 version.

Plus we can share DLC, you XBox people cant.

Not sure if this has been voiced here, but I got the updated Limelight, Police Pack 01, and Brass in Pocket last week and I am now encountering spin up problems with the DVD on the Xbox 360 after playing any of my DLC. It seems other people had this problem before this patch, so maybe it is just coincidence? I'd certainly like to hear a response from Harmonix about this issue, though.

Hey,

There was a bug initially that was preventing the songs from being visible on the PS3. We have since been notified that the issue was fixed and the songs are now visible to our QA guys.

Let me know if you are still having issues downloading the updated tracks.

Have these updates been added to the store or should we expect them next Thursday or something? I just re-downloaded the Police Pack and Limelight again, and still no dice.
