I also vote for "One Big Holiday" from My Morning Jacket. It'd be perfect for Rock Band. Sh*t, they should have their own three pack with One Big Holiday, Run Thru and What a Wonderful Man.

I also vote for The Black Angels and Spoon. I've seen these three bands live and they rock.

MMJ was one of the most anticipated sets at SXSW, which should have garnered it at least a song on the "SXSW Pack"...oh well. in due time as good things come to those who wait!

have you heard any of the new tunes off "Evil Urges" (it comes out in June)? it may break them outta their indie shell!

I had some internet issues last week, and have had the Day 3 blog ready to post since Thursday morning (and right now it's sitting on a flash drive on my desk at home... sorry!) I'll write a super-blog for day 4 and 5 tomorrow or wednesday, and get the day 3 blog up tomorrow.

We didn't really get a chance to go see any shows other than the ones we were directly involved in, which means, to give you a brief idea, that we got to see Black Tide, Serj, and Paramore (whom we released as DLC last week).

But it never really gained much traction. Perhaps if you add a new post there it will spark some new interest.

I've seen them live 3 times in the last year or so, and I have tickets for next month's show in Baltimore - I can't wait. Great band that proves you don't have to play a thousand notes a minute to make memorable, interesting music.

who would you consider more worthy than MMJ?

and to say a band's music is just "noise" shows you have no basis for your opinion.
