Strange news tidbit hints at Aerosmith featured in future Guitar Hero game

While the actual Guitar Hero IV is unlikely to be focused solely on a single band, this may be the first hint at a Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s-style themed iteration centered on the Hall of Fame rockers. Or perhaps Guitar Hero IV will simply feature the band, albeit with several other artists as well.

RedOctane declined comment on what they described as a rumor.
I'm guessing it'll be a spin-off game since focusing on one band for an entire game in a franchise sounds like too risky a move. I guess it wouldn't be that risky if you were using Aerosmith though. Can't wait to see what develops. This sounds more interesting to me than Guitar Hero III at the moment.

Interesting here are my thoughts on the result.

I don't think 1 game about solely 1 particular band will work out.

Wow. Actually, although I don't like classic rock at all, I've been a HUGE Aerosmith fan years ago. So this game could be interesting.
But I still think a normal GH4 would be better than focusing at just one band. I also don't think it would sell well if it's only about one band.

It would be awesome if Aerosmith was just the house band and did all the covers for the game. Hearing that Nosferatu of a lead singer belt out some Pretenders song or something would make my day.

too bad they aren't THAT stupid...

I though Aerosmith would just appear in GH IV the same way Slash and Morello are in GH III

At least now I can play Dream On. Although I wanted it for Rock Band DLC so I could sing it too.
