Really? I guess I just don't see what the big deal is about profanity. In my nearly all female group of RockBand players, when asked what new songs came out that week, I said "Beethoven's ****" and no one was offended... they kinda giggled and thought it was an unusual name for a song, but no where near uncomfortable or offended.
I am a little disheartened by JohnLok's response. So any song with a bad word in the title is off the table? Come on... I'd deal with the aster ix if it meant I could get DK's "Too Drunk To F***" :P
As for Necroposting, this one worries me a little bit. Mostly because I don't actually look at the dates of how old a thread is, and I often to search back into the double digits for threads. This is mostly due to the fact that often I'll make a NEW thread, and within an hour it's already on page 3, even WITH comments in it, and the next day on page 6... and so forth... a lot of threads end up falling behind because of the sheer amount of new threads and new posts. So if I'm searching page ten or eleven of the threads and see something I want to comment about, I don't want to be accused of "Necroposting"

i agree with you completely....its 2008 do you think we can all get over swear words...they are just words....
They DO let swear words go. I know this prob isnt the place to make this statement. But I got a "potty" mouth, and very rarely do I censor myself.
Fact is, I never ONCE got a warning or anything about it, cause I never directed it at anybody, or made it seem insensitive or flame-esque.
Now...if your entire post is 1/3rd four letter words and *** and stuff, and containing slurs, SHOULDNT you get a little heat for that?

The one rule that I find gets absolutely no attention is "Harassment" with regard to music tastes. It seems like EVERY thread about DLC is full of people belittling others' music tastes...
Do the Mods delete a lot of posts and there are simply a bunch that fall through the cracks, or is this rule simply not enforced?
I'm all for discussion of which bands and songs to get into the game, but too many people ONLY approach the issue from their own perspective. There were some posts in the 4/1 Still Alive thread where there was a user, obviously older, that called all music of the last 20 years "crap". If that's not a violation of this rule, what is?
Thanks!
I think calling modern music crap should be the one exception, lol
*shh, don't let the paymasters at MTV know that...*

Just wondering if people will still be allowed to link the sites the offer some after-market products for RB? After my foot pedal broke I came here to see what I should do. After seeing some of the "How to fix it" links and the other pedal options I choose not to RMA my pedal. I just patched it up and after that goes down I will get a sturdier one to replace it. I probably would have never known about them without seeing the links in the forums here.
Chico, your a "glass is half empty" kinda guy, arent ya?
And Im not trying to be a troll honestly, you put together fantastic, well thought out posts. And you choose your words wisely. Im just saying only times I see you post is when you are calling something into question.
Hmmm..Upon re-reading my words I want to reiterate I am not trying to break balls. Just making a light-hearted observation. Cheers!

Nice try. "Clearly circumventing the profanity filter" isn't the same as obscuring profanity. What we are talking about are the people who write out the swears using numbers in place of certain letters, subtle misspellings to get past it, or the clever use of spaces.
Also the song itself has no swears, to my knowledge, and still fits within the boundaries of a T rated game. The title of the song is also obscured, and optional.
