Whatever happened to the "have a good time and socialize" rule from your initial list of forum rules Sean?

Sorry Chico76, telling someone a song is crap or that a genre is crap, is not harassment. It's simply an opinion on said song or said genre. Now if they follow you around to every post you make and reply with "YOUR MUSIC TASTE SUCKS CHUMP!!" Then you have a valid argument. But simply saying a song you like or a genre you like sucks, is not harassment. Maybe you should just show up at the forum with some kleenex?
Surgeon General's Warning: User 28 Dukes is prone to diatribes, rants and overuse of hyperbole.
Haha, no worries... and thanks for the kudos! Nice to know someone has read my stuff...
And no, I'm not a pessimist. Sorry if it came across that way (or ever does). I guess I'm just trying to be constructive without being a kiss-ass. I like a lot of things around here (meaning the game, the forums, etc). But I also think there's a lot of room for improvement AND opportunity...
There are just so many people on the forums that don't have a clue how to express themselves, so I guess I feel like there needs to be a few of us who get the point across in a legible, reasonable way...

I'll do a better job of clarifying myself next time...
I don't get offended when I'm here. Even if you call me names... I'll likely defend myself, but I'm not going to cry and whine about it. We are (hopefully) all adults here...
I'm referring to the multiple posts by some people where they ALWAYS say the same thing. It might not be directed at a single person, but it's directed at the Community as a whole. Not to mention, how constructive or meaningful is it for someone to just spew "the 80s suck" or "there haven't been any good songs made since 1975"?
I'll call a song crap from time to time, but I try to do it in a way that is more about me saying "I just don't like that song", rather than "you're stupid for liking that song". THAT is where I think the difference is between being helpful and being hurtful.
And ultimately, the Rules are about being helpful and not hurtful, which is where my post was coming from. Sorry if I wasn't specific enough on that point...
I'm not going to police the threads by any means (not my job), but I will report something if it's truly out of line...
I guess I was just under the impression that the Mods, to at least some degree, were the thread police... and rather than letting thing spiral into the gutter, as often happens, they'd exercise their power and get things back onto the main road... (not necessarily the high road, but just out of the gutter)...
Thanks Sean!
Think if I post in this, it'll bump and it'll cause impatient people waiting for April 8 DLC annoucement?
I've seen quite a few images of religious symbols or figures used in an offensive manner. Are we allowed to offend others indirectly through images? For example, satirical photos of Mohammed or Jesus, a Christian Cross upside down or the Islamic crecent moon combined with the USSR Hammer and sickle.
What about world leaders? Are the images fair game to use in a satirical manner as well?
PS lets get rockband released in the EU!!!
*sniff*HMX never quotes me and answers my concerns...

Yes. Some 8 yr old and his mom might see that post, and if shes in a bad mood, shes going to call and ***** at someone. Its how the world works. Im sure HMX and Mods have better things to do then censor posts and all that junk. But...you gotta do what ya gotta do.
Although language seeks into my posts too, I guess mine just isnt as vulgar or profane as yours is.
And LOL at using the freedom of speech card like you are being oppressed or something. Its a video game message board, not the senate.

hmxJohnlok did a great job of clearing this up later, so I will assume you didn't get to those before you posted this.
However, I'm not sure what distinction you are trying to make between posting C*** and just putting spaces or non-standard letters between the letters. Both are clearly meant to convey the intended word to the audience without getting "caught" by some software that blocks certain words. To me it is a distinction without a difference. For anyone that didn't know the song, the first thing they are going to do is try to figure out what the ***'s refer to.
My point was that you appeared to be saying in the new policy area that ALL profanities would not be allowed on the site, period. hmxJohnlok did a good job of clearing that up, but it certainly wasn't obvious to me as to what was meant in the new articulated Code of Conduct page.
Yeah, obviously it is optional - so what? It still appears in any list of downloadable content, and all over the forums on the date it was released. Just because it fits the boundaries of a T rated game, doesn't mean you had to go there. Why do you need to have a song that, as hmxJohnlok stated, you feel uncomfortable even stating the title in polite company? Just my opinion of course, but obviously others disagree.
With this lone exception I think you guys have done a great job of providing great variety in the DLC, keeping this game fun to play far longer than most others on the market - thanks!
