I thought they did a good job of getting some indie artists into the game with the 20 free dlc songs. I personally think that Between the Buried and Me and UnderOATH were good additions to the game, and would like to see more of that.
ANWAYS, my five albums would be...
1. Lead Sails Paper Anchor-Atreyu
With the exception of lead sails (and a) paper anchor, all the songs on this cd would be great for the game, despite the fact that Atreyu has gone a little more mainstream. Also, we know that they can be in music games and all, since they were in an indie pack in guitar hero 2.
2. As Daylight Dies-Killswith Engage
This album just has great songs, especially the cover of holy diver, which would be really fun to play on rock band. They already did My Curse, which was really fun for such an overplayed song.
3.Something by Reel Big Fish PLEASE!
Great band, would have fun songs like S.R and Beer to play. Rock band needs more ska.
4. Greatest Hits-Goldfinger
Lots of fun songs to play, even Superman, despite that it's overplayed would be a blast. They're one of my favorite bands, and would love to see them in the game.
5. Cities-Anberlin
Anberlin isn't the most beloved band, but they would have some songs that just make you feel good to play, sorta like i was like with the offspring packs.
ALSO, maybe Offspring, the Sleeping, or Paramore would be good.

1. Ten - Pearl Jam (1991)- Really amazing album, easily Pearl Jam's best IMO. My favorite song off of this album is already in the game (Alive), but I could easily see myself playing through every song on this album multiple times without complaint.
2. In Utero - Nirvana (1993) - I was really tempted to put Nevermind here, but we already have so many songs from that album in the game, and there are a ton of great songs on this album (Scentless Apprentice and All Apologies come to mind).
3. Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden (1980) - It was very hard to choose between my three favorite Iron Maiden albums (the others being Powerslave and Piece of Mind) but in the end, I really appreciated the variety of all four parts in each song on this album. I would like to see songs from all three albums though.
4. The New Pornographers - Mass Romantic (2000) - I only started listening to the New Pornographers about 3 years ago, but they have really grown on me in that time. This album really seems to be the ideal one for Rock Band, tunes that remain fun on all instruments and are catchy without being annoying.
5. Queens of The Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf (2002) - A lot of people point to Lullabies To Paralyze as their favorite QOTSA album, but I just can't get enough of this album, from the way it goes from song to song (a person switching through radio stations), to the number of great songs, (Song for the Dead, No One Knows, etc).
Alice in Chains - Dirt
Pearl Jam - Ten
Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
Blind Melon - Soup
Led Zeppelin - IV
I was listening to Coil today. This is my absolute favorite band ever. So many songs would be great for RB2! "Whatever I Fear", "Come Down", "Dam Would Break", "Amnesia", "Crazy Life", "Don't Fade", "Rings"...
And what about Dulcinea!? I mean, "Fly From Heaven", "Something's Always Wrong", "Fall Down". They put the Colour and the Shape which has a few pretty slow songs, so either of these two Toad the Wet Sprocket albums would be great! Let's get some Toad love!!
Meatloaf Bat out of Hell 1 and 2
Eric Clapton 24 nights
KISS Destroyer
Journey's Greatest Hits
Van Halen greatest hits vol 1
