This is my favorite album of all time. Waking the Fallen my be more "metal," but City of Evil is much more interesting and technical. Despite the band's demeanor, they write some great music. This would keep expert players at bay for quite a long time.
    2. Master of Puppets - Metallica
My favorite Metallica album of all time, what's more to say here?
    3. Toxicity - System of a Down
I admit there are songs on Hypnotize/Mesmerize that I'd rather see on Rock Band more than any Toxicity song (B.Y.O.B., Dreaming, Revenga, Soldier Side, Violent Pornography), but as a whole I like Toxicity much better than the other albums. I also have to admit I've wanted to sing Chop Suey! since I got into System.
    4. You Could Have It So Much Better - Franz Ferdinand
Came across this album the other day and I absolutely love it. Not a weak track in the mix, IMO.
    5. Avenged Sevenfold - Avenged Sevenfold
Even though this is the most "mainstream" A7X album, it's still got some great songs. A Little Piece of Heaven would be a blast to sing (though completely inappropriate around 99% of human beings).

Honorable mentions go to Voices by Matchbook Romance and Best of Guns N' Roses album.
You are my hero, if they put any of those albums out I don't think I'd leave my xbox for days

I havn't read through so many of these posts but people seem to pick one style and go all out on it so I'm going to try to fit in a few different bands (as best as I can when it comes to my taste).

Orange Goblin - Time Travelling Blues (1998 - stoner)
    Journey - Escape (1981 - arena rock)
Ted Nugent & Amboy Dukes - Tooth Fang & Claw (1974 - US rock)
Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak (1976 - UK rock)
Alice in Chains - Dirt (1992 - grunge)

Talking Five Albums I want to see on rockband

Wisconsin Death Trip- Static- X= my reason for picking this album is because i have listened to the whole album so many times without ever skipping a song and each song is just great to listen to and i can imagine the fun expert guitarists and drums will have along with the vocals (bass will be good but nothing to crazy).

The Ascension- Otep= Great Album nuff said

Happenstance- Fozzy= I know most people dislike Chris Jericho the wrestler but He is a good singer and some songs are actually good to listen to and i can see this being put in the game.

The Sickness- Disturbed= A rock album which will have anyone who likes them tearing up their living room while playing and also a very interesting vocal challenge for singers.

Roadrunner United - Various Artists= One of the coolest concept albums in which a record company uses all the talent for one album mixing legends such as King Diamond with members of fear factory, Coal Chamber, slipknot, and etc.
