The most unknown band you listen to

Which band is the most unknown out of all the ones you listen to? Keep in mind this is relative to you. Also, no bands that only you, or anyone close to you could possibly know of (friends' bands and of the like).

For me, it would have to be Kongh, a swedish doom/sludge metal band that has no songs less than 10 minutes long. I got their album from my dad who, on a business trip to sweden, went to a metal store and asked for recommendations from some kid there of albums to bring back for me and my brother.

I could also say Ocean Chief, of the same genre, but I don't actually own an album of theirs. Just a split album with Kongh that I bought recently.

If you mean frequently, then Five For Fighting

If you mean otherwise, then my friends solo project.

Probably The Acro-brats. I just totally love Kicking & Screaming and Go Down Swinging. (At least, unknown as in I'm one of the few people who listens to their songs that aren't on GH/RB)

    Other possibility:

Proto-Kaw. A side band led by Kansas' old guitarist, Kerry Livgren. A great Prog Rock band that puts out a lot of songs that didn't make it onto the Kansas albums that are actually really, really good.

Probably the most unknown band that I listen to absolutely all the time is The Honor System. They're generally called a punk band I guess, but probably cause no one really knows what else to call them. They're a pretty unique introspective rock band with a great deal of emotion in the music.

Aside from that, maybe something like Sins of Thy Beloved. Or maybe I just don't hang around the type of people that would recognize Sins of Thy Beloved.

    Bonamassa.

Joe Bonamassa is a young guy who sings and plays lead guitar.

It sounds like a cross between Stevie Ray Vaughn and Joe Satriani.

He opened for George Thoroughgood at the Fillmore in SF a few years ago, and just blew me away with his guitar work.

Went out and bought a couple of his cd's.

Worth a look if you like hard blues/rock guitar.

    This guy has big talent.
