What I got from this post:

"Hurr durr my music is more deserving to be in rock band then ur music"

    No.
Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

Hair Metal is not going to have it's own specific genre category in the game. Ever. It's not happening.

    They all go under Metal
Lionel Richie - "Running with the Night"
    Camel - "Lady Fantasy"
Type O Negative, Bad Brains, Madonna

    More:
    Dire Straits, Interpol, The Strokes

That's because Hair Metal is a sub genre and New Wave is it's own genre.

Wrong, some of those are categorized as Pop Rock, not New Wave.

There are technically only 7 New Wave songs.
Lionel Richie - "Running with the Night"
    Camel - "Lady Fantasy"
Type O Negative, Bad Brains, Madonna

    More:
    Dire Straits, Interpol, The Strokes

the Cars are classified as Rock, Duran Duran is classified as Pop-Rock (I think) and the Police are classified as Pop-Rock, with the exception of Message In A Bottle (rock).

So even with Talking Heads DLC, hair metal still has more songs than new wave.

That said, I feel for you hair metal fans. Even though hair metal is some of the most worthless, pathetic music ever made, it sucks that you guys are ignored time and time again. It reminds me of how there's no Stones DLC
