This Talking Heads DLC Thread Ain't No Foolin' Around.

They helped bridge the gap between punk and new wave. They have four entries on Rolling Stone's top 500 albums of all time. They led to Radiohead's current name. They have a big suit. So it's hard to claim Talking Heads aren't important. I'd understand if the band's differences have caused their absence, but if we get past that, there's plenty of suitable songs. Such as...

    No Compassion
    Don't Worry About the Government
    Artists Only
    Found a Job
Thank You for Sending Me an Angel
    Stay Hungry
    Girlfriend Is Better
    And She Was
    Wild Wild Life
    Paper
    Life During Wartime
    Cities
    Girlfriend is Better

And, of course, the big hits-

    Psycho Killer
    Burning Down The House

So there's 15 worthwhile songs. They've got a few great songs that aren't suitable (too repetitive, piano-driven, what have you), but surely one of these would make a good addition to the lineup.

Awww... so is "Once in a Lifetime" one of the bad-fit-for-Rock Band ones?

    It's so awesome!

    David Byrne is a genius!

It is raw awesome, but the guitar is so minimal that I wouldn't call it Rock Band ready. I'm even hesitant with Burning Down the House. Their b-sides and deep cuts are a lot better, in my opinion. But hey, Psycho Killer! Bassists would probably like it.

Just wanted to say that I totally agree that we need some talking heads.

There are very few musicians as influential as David Byrne. I'm not a fan of his arrogance, but his music and influence can't really be denied.

I'd be all about a three pack!

    Slippery People

I agree with this entire thread. GIVE US SOME HEADS.

If we get once in a lifetime, i'd have to preform it like David Byrne.
    My Morning Jacket for DLC
    Kaki King
    The National
    Wilco
more The Band, Yeah Yeah Yeahs & FLAMING LIPS

I'll give you (Nothing But) Flowers (drums would be interesting, with the mix of rock drums and African drums), but Road to Nowhere doesn't have the guitar or bass.

And I'm noticing a few tracks that are so much better on Stop Making Sense (the live album) than their respective studio albums. Which totally kills them as possibilities, unless they were covered.

    Crosseyed & Painless.

Check the Stop Making Sense video. It would be spectacular to have the live version.
