You know how you can hear part of a song and it just kinda "hits you in the face with a telephone pole." After you've listened to it you're sitting there dazed and realize you just went for a heck of a ride.

    Examples would be:

    AC/DC:

    S.R.V.

Here's one from Joe Walsh that does that:

He's got a lot of great songs but that one just gets the adrenaline going. (haha)

System of a Down - Forest
My favorite SOAD song! Good stuff, I like the main guitar riff a lot and it's got this awesome vibe to it that I can't really explain.

^ Nice to see another "Forest" fan

    Here's some more:

Blue Oyster Cult - Morning Final
Great BOC song with some nice vocals and an awesome intro!

    Cheap Trick - Mandocello
Ethereal and dreamy song from Cheap Trick's horribly underrated debut album (which is on par with Boston's debut album, imo). I love the part were Robin Zander goes really high on the vocals after the second verse or so.

The Lovin' Spoonful - Coconut Grove
Not as big as their hits like "Summer in the City", "Do You Believe in Magic" or "Daydream" but very good. And very melancholy and moody too - stuff that's usually not associated with Lovin' Spoonful songs. Great folksy pop-rock song either way though.

Jimi Hendrix Experience - Wait Until Tommorrow
Don't really know what to say about this one, it's just a flat-out good song. Kind of reminds me of "Little Wing" a bit but much more up-tempo and poppy sounding.
