"I think it's called Rock Band" is a moment of pure on-stage pwnage, I love it![]()
Interface wise, it looks ugly. I like the bass drum head though.

Pure Own, but he was able to catch himself slightly. Best quote of the year...
"Which is the first time you'll have multiple intrusments: Drums, Mic, A bass, Different gui-""It's called Rock Band I believe"
I think the bass drum is a nice added touch, but is it just me - or do the guitars seem too small?
I agree that I think the guy meant "first time in GH that we have multiple instruments" but I think she was right in making her remark. It's a rip-off and it's ridiculous to hide that fact.
Amazing how the quality of the people demo-ing a product can affect the impression of the public! The gameplay, let's face it, is going to be very similar. 3 people playing instruments, one person singing. That should be as much fun for both games. HMX demoed their game with "The Harmonix" who were really good, really into it, and threw themselves around the stage and had a laugh. Everyone thought it looked exciting and fun. Activision put 4 cardboard cutouts on the stage to "bad-note" their way through a song as woodenly as it is possible (and let's be honest that is how we all looked the first time we played) and everyone yells "look how boring the gameplay is"!
Effectively, it looks OK to me. No better, no worse than RB. I have invested a lot of money in RB, and this will have to be amazing for me to want 2 lots of instruments cluttering up my cinema. Probably, for me, RB wins because I have it and over 100 songs. But that said, if RB2 comes out and I'd need new instruments and the DLC wasn't comptible, then it's back to being an open competition between the 2 again, and I'll go for whichever one I think is best. But I'll wait til they're both out before I cry wolf. I remember how Rock Band changed from the early press hype to what was actually in the game, and I suspect that GH:WT will be no different.
If I do have to make a choice between GH:WT and RB2, quality of instruments will be a major factor in my decision I think. BTW, I do prefer the graphics and "adult" feel of RB, but this is far from a final version of GH, so they may alter them.
Why are the words "destress" and "distress" so similar?
And why is the word "dyslexia" so difficult to spell?
