How Long Until You Personally Give Up On Rock Band?

My question is this. Why not just stop playing or whatever and go back to your GH collection until GH WT comes out? Why do you continue to whine about it? Is it because you feel that GH:Wt is actually going to suck and you wish Harmonix was doing it? Otherwise you must just be seeking attention.

First off, if you dislike pineapple, but you're stranded on an island with only pineapple... should you just starve to death, or choke down the pineapple until you get other food sources?

There is the only console drum game, and only console multiplayer band game out right now.

And about the I think GHWT will suck comment? What is that? I don't even get how you could gather that off anything anybody on this forum has said. How is that even a method of expression.. i think GHWT will suck so I'll whine about RB? Cmon kid... cmon

I stopped getting DLC about 2 weeks ago (I had bought every song until that point). Until I know what HMX plans for the future of Rock Band, I can't justify spending more money on it.

Jumping ship is another matter though. I never bought GH3 because I wanted to wait for RB and support HMX, but I saw it for only $30 today and was tempted to buy it. I decided not to, but I might go back for it later. When HMX gives us details on RB2 I'll decide if its time to give up. I'm of the opinion that the game doesn't need a sequel; release patches or expansions along with continued DLC. But since RB2 is almost certainly going to happen, the transition is going to need to be fairly smooth. The more we lose (songs, scores, characters, etc) the less likely I would stick with it.

I have to say that as much as I wouldnt mind trying out the new Guitar Hero which I may do I dont think atleast at release time that I would buy all the gear for it...I still will not pay 99.69 for Guitar Hero III and the guitar......

But I can say im happy with Rock Band I dont care about the BWT online so much because I dont play online much because well I dont play on Expert I just dont have the time to get that good Big Props to the people who do play on Expert..I do think the online deal would be a great add I also do wish HMX would be a little more loose with info about upcoming things and a little more honest about things since the whole Rock Band 2 that will coming out of course Im sure that has alot to do with EA and there wont for something new every single year God I hope Rock Band dont turn into another Madden/ any other Ea Sports game where every single year there is a new game to me it is not needed....

While I relise that Rock Band is in it for money I really dont think there is a need for a Rock Band 2 atleast not for another few years but from what we have heard it may very well be this Christmas that it hits the street....Anyways long story short while I dont think Ill be to big on buying Guitar Hero 4 I dont think it is the big deal people think it is.....I agree 200% that Rock Band is a party game and Guitar Hero always to some degree will be a game to compete with one another not just chill and play but that is my op.But im very happy with Rock Band and dont see any reason to run away from it..DLC could be better sometimes but it is every week and for the most part it always makes a good deal of people happy so at the end of the imo that is a pretty good deal...Everything will have problems Ill bet almost anything that the cymbals on the Guitar Hero drums will be there problem I can already see hundreds of post about MY CYMBALS BROKE WTF!!!! but hey that is just thinking clear if people are are really killing the heads on the rock band ones those poor cymbals are ****ed...

I'll stick with RB and HMX until they decide to call it quits.
I gave Neversoft a chance with Guitar Hero 3, and it was so bad that I'm not willing to give them another one.

I just got my PS3 back from Sony and am reinstalling all the DLC as we speak. Should be about 24 hours to download it all. I am not going to play any of the game disc songs anymore. I am pretty sick of most of them, expect a few upper tier songs I am not willing to play through the others to get to. I guess I am in the target market for a Rock Band 2, as long as DLC works in both.

So you are not whining because you are hoping that Rock Band makes changes because you don't have faith in GH? Because basically these threads are trying to convince HMX to change, why ask them to change if such a great game is already coming? Well because we all know it won't be a great game because Neversoft knows nothing about music. So if it's not that then it must be because you are seeking attention.

I'm a fanboy and not ashamed, I use the LP controller cos the peripherals are ****ty.

My drummer's drum kit crapped out on him so I gave him mine, the bassist has gone through 2 strats. The singer has gone through...5? mics.

But we still have a ****ton of fun playing together and we genuinely enjoy the game.

one of the only reasons i'm sticking with rock band is that there is no way i would be allowed to buy a whole nother band game. thats just to much, and they don't even work with eachother.
