I'm pretty much there... just hanging out by a thread!
If next weeks DLC doesn't do it for me, that's the last straw
I'll give it a month and see what happens...
I'll stick around until GH:WT comes out... I need my drum fix!
Never! I love RB and I'll NEVER leave!
I agree with the OP. I am slowly losing faith in HMX, I think they have created the best game I have ever played. I have had nothing but joy.... when it comes to the software, hardware on the other hand... But they have left us in the dark for so long, I mean, it took someone that was part of the Who fanclub to find this new info out on Who's Next. But, I will be here unil GH:WT comes out. I will only buy RB2 if 1) my DLC is compatible, 2) It has better peripherals, and 3) If they don't keep us in the dark for so long, I mean, I would be happy if they would at least say they were going to show us something at E3 in 5 weeks.

I'm not done with it forever, but I don't play anywhere remotely close to what I used to. I mean the DLC is cool, but can't they do any better with the bands JESUS CHRIST. Like are they saving all the big names till later when everyone is gone. Like I'll buy something (DLC song) and play it for 2 weeks and then go back and wonder why in the hell I bought it.
I am not ready to jump ship quite yet at all... HMX has done something here that no one has ever attempted to do... work all year round to get DLC out there... sure it isnt always the best song choices, but it does open a door to all kinds of music. Afterall for me this game is not about difficulty, it is about the MUSIC. HMX has been the leader in this race. All guitar hero has is the name... the name that they practically stole from HMX. All activision is doing is looking at whatever harmonix does and copying it. They add trivial things to the games such as attacks and bosses but to me this just distracts the game from its true meaning, which is music. I think that I will stay with the innovative company.. not the company that makes carbon copies of the same game.
The only thing that would even get me to buy guitar hero world tour is if they landed Led Zeppelin. (being my favorite band) besides that, I think that Activision does not treat songs with nearly the amount of respect that harmonix does. They try to dress the game up with features that are unnessesary. Harmonix will deliver they always do. Activision has done nothing to buy me over and the way it looks, they probably won't.
In a month or so HMX will make an announcement at E3 and make it all better again. Don't forget RB kick GH3aSS and I'm sure HMX has the goods to do it again. After all, RB2 will be more about new features in the game and less about new songs since we can always get DLC.
HMX has the upper hand since they already know what activision has planed I'm sure that they will do everything they can to make RB2 a GH killer.
I'd say some time after I get all the achievements, which will most likely be never, so..

That about sums it up for me.
I love this game, really I do, but I don't half wish a more communicative, customer-friendly company was behind it.
I dislike the GH platform, I wont be supporting that franchise. There is a reason HMX sold the GH brand and moved to Rock Band. With that reasoning behind their move, I stay loyal to MTV/HMX because they KNOW what they are doing even if you doubt them!
