    and they're terrible.

I know! It's going to be SAGA!! The stong connection is that they're going to simmultaneously announce the entire Saga catalogue for DLC on July 1!

Okay, I really hope I'm not right here. Saw Saga live in 2002 (openers for Jethro Tull), I don't think I've seen more keyboardists on one stage at one time (during a couple of songs everybody but the drummer was playing a keyboard!)

    Rush is the obvious answer.

That being said, I am running through Canadian bands to try and play "Six Degrees" and see if there are any other connections to be drawn.
Yes, I'm a bit of a dick. That being said, you'll only notice when someone deserves it.

There is a clothing item called the "tragically hipsters"...can't recall if they're pants or what...so, I'm sticking with theTragically Hip. That would be the only connection to RB i could see besides Rush....(and that's kind of sad when you think about it).

Melissa Auf der Maur was the bassist for both Hole and the Smashing Pumpkins....she is also the inspiration for my band's (the Skin Vegetables) lead guitarist aptly named "Auf der Maur"

Also, the Rolling Stones like to practice/play in Toronto's Masonic Hall before every tour....

I also suspect that 1/4-half the developers at Harmonix are Canadian...

...just grasping at straws at this point.

I'm thinking The Tragically Hip, Nickelback or Sum 41 will be the popular Canadian Band, as Rush is a popular band from Canada...(but still extrmemely popular in Canada)...if that makes anysense.
I have been hoping to see a Canadian DLC pack announced for Canada Day. Hopefully my wish comes true.

Why do y'all keep saying Moving Pictures would be bad as a DLC Album? You guys obviously don't listen closely enough. The Camera Eye, Witchunt, Vital Signs, and Red Barchetta have guitar tracks. And it's not just one riff here or a note there. Go back and listen to the album closely, Moving Pictures will be excellent for the game. Also how do you guys know that the masters are not there? Who even said they weren't usable? I haven't seen Geddy come out and say that. If you look back at the music videos for Vital Signs, Limelight, and Tom Sawyer you see that yea they're playing the songs together but then they record vocals, keyboards and other instruments separately. Nobody really knows the details on how they record stuff. I highly doubt they recorded 2112 all in one take together. Check this out, you can see they record separately http://youtube.com/watch?v=v1M3o1-bf9w
