Gamestop makes up release dates as well as prices if they want to start taking preorders before official info is announced. Basically they're guessing, take everything they tell you with a huge grain of salt untill HMX announces it.

I sort of figured. I was a little hesitant to actually reserve it, I don't trust gamestop.

I just wish the original songs on the disc would be on the disc for RB2 because it will just be a pain to stop and have to load the RB1 game in when having a jam session just to play a few songs from it . But it is got the DLC backwards compatible .


Just hope Bass is added to the solo & BWT and hopefully have it so you can pick your own songs for a song list .

I have two questions...

I just went to Gamestop and reserved RB2 for the xbox 360. I asked if they had a release date, and they told me OCTOBER 30th...

The announcement says September... I still believe it's coming out in September, I'm just wondering why gamestop says October.

Also, since current DLC will be compatible with RB2, will our DLC scores migrate over to RB2 also? It's not a MAJOR issue, I'm just curious, I play RB every day so if they don't and I had to get all my scores back it would be just like playing any normal day.

Actually, I'm betting on September 30th, it's a Tuesday, still in September, and fits perfectly with the new "Warranty Program" that would start the day after.

September 30th is my son's 3rd birthday. He absolutely loves RB. Sings all the words to most of the songs.

I think I'll have to buy the little guy his favorite game for his b-day. Of course I'll play too, but really I'm buying it for him. *wink-wink* No, I mean it. I'm totally serious- it's for him!


Think my wife will buy that??

Hey Henry, didn't Dan (HMXspraynwipe) do QA for the original Rock Band? Or at least for DLC? His name sounds familiar and I don't know why.

i think it was dlc but who cares it would be cool to see one done for this one it would really drawl people into bying the game

i dont know if any one has sujested this but you should consider raising the strum bar for the bass guitar on the next rockband

ssomthing i would like to see instead of the preeset solo u should be able to jam out ur own solo. that would be awsie it would be toatally origanol i have never seen it before in my life time shut out guitar hero 4 with ther make ur own song thing jam out ur own solo i just hope some one is takeing the time to read my ideas

Wholly unimpressed by the "new" guitar, which is basically just the old guitar painted with the traditional Fender Sunburst design and faux rosewood neck. Show me the innards to prove to me that it's not as crappy as the original RB1 guitars (which are still flaky, even after redesigns - I've gone through three so far, either bad strum bars or bad accelerometers) then maybe I'll care about the guitar. Would like to see the new drums, especially with the ones from MadCatz coming out soon and really raising the bar.

Anyway, to be honest, I will buy RB2 if all they do is the following:
- ONLINE BWT.
- Solo Bass Tour.

That's all they have to do to sell it to me. I do have a few other suggestions, but they're not 'make or break' for me:
- Better character creation options.
- Change solo play to be a smaller version of the RB1 BWT interface. A static page is so.. so... Guitar Hero 2. C'mon guys, you can do much better.
- More outfit options.
- Add the ability for someone to play rhythm guitar, even if this means bands could be a max of 5 people.

Yeah, that's about it. I'll be anxiously awaiting to read blog updates!
