I don't know if this will be worth it. In order to compete with GH World Tour they are going to have to have better character customization and a song maker and be able to share the songs that are made. To me it sounds like just a giant new song pack. I love Rock Band 1 and it is probably the best music game i have ever played, but they are going to have to add NEW features if they want this to sell as good as RB1.

Why does it have to have those? If you want that, go buy GH. The character customization could use some additions but the song maker's not a make or break IMO. Most people aren't going to want to put in hours to make new songs that they can't even sing to. Most people just wanna ROCK.

I dont think the song maker will make or break RB2. That came out wrong in the first post. But I think it would be a nice feature. Especially if you could create your own lyrics. I do want RB2 to have more features though instead of just adding a bunch of new songs. This sort of feels rushed out to me.

The way I understand it is that HMX doesn't want to do it until they can get it as good as they can get it. That would lead me to believe that perhaps none of the current gen consoles are up to par with what they have in store.

I'd just like to point out that the feature details have not been announced. By reading your post, it sounds like you're under the impression that HMX said that there won't be any new features.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but my biggest hope for RB2 is a more difficult guitar. It's just too easy in RB.

Do you mean ALL the songs because if u do I disagree! Some of them are quite difficult on hard and Expert...for example...Blackened, Flirtin w Disaster, Screaming for Vengeance, etc....

Now if you mean MOST songs are a bit too easy even on Medium then I tend to agree. I like to sing and do Guitar on Medium at the same time, so I wouldnt want the charts to be too complicated on Medium bec then i would have to play guitar on easy and that just cant happen!

was looking through googles tech new links and one of the links places said that there was a unconfirmed mention that ms paid to push all other release dates off..

not sure its true. since nowadays google tech news sites post blogs. like if someones opinion is newss... ..

i certainly hope its not true. i just really cant stand that sort of selling out.... i hope its not true.

HMX wasn't paid to push off their release dates. HMXSean said himself that the only reason the PS3 version is being released a few weeks later is because they want to check it for any bugs it may have.

I'm all for that.

I think they're more used to programming for the 360 than they are for the PS3, and they atleast want to get some kind of a version out before GH:Wt..so if they can, why not? It makes sense to me.

And for those of you saying this will be just some song pack..it won't.

There are features being put into this game. There are things being done to the Band World Tour, and the way you get to play the music you purchase. There was also mention of some way you'll be able to transfer from playing guitar on expert to playing the same song on expert in real life. Don't just think HMX is throwing this all together at the last second. I'm sure a lot of thought was put into this game, and I honestly can't wait for it to come for PS3
