Any Chance that harmonix will let PS3 users download purchased DLC tracks for 360?

I'm a current RB1 PS3 user with all DLC purchased currently. Since RB2 comes out is Sept for 360, I'll pony up and buy a whole new set for the 360 since it's seems to be the platform of choice. And because I don't want to wait until the PS3 launch.

So will Harmonix let users such as myself to be able to download already purchased DLC to the 360?

anything can be possible to make the customer happy and to keep coming back for more. It actually should be possible because I'm buying 2 rockband sets, so even more money.

WRONG! You gave your money to SONY when you purchased the DLC, why would MICROSOFT give you those songs for free? That means you'll have them on both systems; free on the cost of xbox. Never going to happen, don't waste your breath.

PS3 owners didnt buy the tracks from HMX, they bought the tracks from Sony.

360 owners didn't buy the tracks from HMX, they bought the tracks from MSFT.

At some point people need to realize that the company is in business to make money. What you're suggesting makes absolutely no business sense. They want a following yes, and they want the experience to be fun but be serious, the bottom line is making money.

One could argue that some people are deciding between giving up on Rock Band completely and switching from the PS3 to the Xbox360 and the deciding factor in that decision will be their investment in PS3 DLC that will be lost if they switch to the Xbox.

If those people are significant in number (a big if), then it could be worthwhile for Harmonix to work out a deal where people can transfer their DLC (at a discounted rate where Microsoft gets their cut but HMX forfeits theirs) in order to retain customers and increase future sales.

wow that's a great idea...tell you what why don't you go buy a couple hundred dollars worth of songs off of itunes, then decide you don't like the format they are in so ask napster if they will allow you free downloads of the music you bought at the artist's expense.

This is a totally different situation and you know it. I'm not going to make the same mistake I've made in other threads. Congratulations on torpedoing another thread that had the potential to be worthwhile.

My idea isn't as ridiculous as you make it sound for the following reasons:
    1) Harmonix and the artist already got paid when we bought the PS3 version of the DLC.

    2) Sony, also already got paid. They wouldn't really be involved anyway.

    3) Harmonix has 2 options:
    1) Lose disgruntled PS3 customers who feel that the cost to switch to the Xbox360 is too great.
    2) Sacrifice immediate DLC profits in order to ensure future DLC sales for years to come and also sell
    more Xbox360 bundles.

    4) Microsoft has 2 options:
    1) Let the PS3 customers give up on Rock Band completely.
    2) Offer the disgruntled PS3 customers the opportunity to transition to the Xbox360 version of the
game, selling additional consoles and Rock Band bundles, as well as substantial future DLC.

I don't think it will ever happen. That said the only reason for the delay is because Microsoft ponied up some bucks to keep the ps3 ver. out of the stores for a certian amount of time. They know people like you will be impatient and switch platforms. No one has ever said the delay is due to any technical point. Don't be a sucker for the Xbox ploy and just wait a month. I really don't think it take all that long for the ps3 ver. to be released.
