No, but the concept of moving forwards and backwards could be a patent in itself. That's what he was saying as I read it and it makes fine sense. Some "lawer"

I have faith in DDR:X because Konami has clearly been listening to the feedback they got from SN2 (A newly designed cabinet, with a widescreen monitor and USB support for one). So, I have high hopes for it.
I don't know, Pluto WOULD be amazing if the BPM changes weren't ridiculous.
It could have just as easily been a ten without speeding it up to around 800 BPMs or so.
And that's the whole problem I have with the charts.
Hopefully they atleast make a C-mod with the next one, and then I'll love it again.
Angelus was fun, And I play volcano just about every day I DO play DDR, I guess I just miss all the in-house stuff like Naoki.
His stuff on supernova was just kind of mediocre, and I loved just about evereything he did in the past games.

Also, lol @ me stumbling onto your youtube account while looking up DDR videos.

It is unfortunate that they pretty much covered the entire genre with their patent. I guess thats what originality does.
Games are also developed and engineered differently from each other. Sure, some might be similar, but the steps that got them there are likely different.

I don't really think this is a promotion. Legal cases take time to build and this could just be the time it was prepared.

Another example of this is George Romero and Dead Rising. The game came out in 2006, but it was only until recently that Romero's legal team brought action. Just because we're hearing about it now doesn't mean that it hasn't been in the works for a while.

Also, Rock Revolution is only being published by Konami. Zoe Mode is developing it. Konami really has nothing to do with it.

Yeah, I'm a bemani whore on YouTube :P.

Also: I think you have Pluto Relinquish mixed up with Pluto. Pluto is the one that is from like 80-220 BPM with the stops, and Relinquish is the 800BPM one :P.

As for Naoki, he's really hit-or-miss for me. Sure, I love TEARS and Poseidon...but his 'euro' songs really sound all alike. That's why I like the diversity of other Bemani artists stepping in and making songs for DDR.

I played a lot of them, when I was 10, I played everything I could at the arcades.

    sigh.

im going to sleep. this isnt worth it.

everyone is either too ignorant or too thick headed. with the exception of like 2 of your regular forum goers your all to stubborn to continue to carry a dialogue without being hung up on the same points, no matter the refute.

    NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET.

The next thing you are likely to hear is that it's gone to court.

After that, the next you'll see of it is probably a patent notice on the opening screen after some out of court settlement.

    and brush your teeth. damn.

Funny, because promoting is sort of one of the main interests of a publisher, since they reap most of the reward.

That's not very specific. Arcades outside of Japan rarely have any other bemani game besides DDR.

The ones I went to had Drummania, Beatmania, DDR.

If I hear other names, I'll likely recognize them.

Also, I played quite a bit of arcade at age 13 as well, it was something I had a lot of fun doing, just to hanging out with my friends playing games for hours.
