Dream Theater? Why not? Portnoy says...

he is waiting for the offer to be in the game in an interview.

I don't know if this is old news because the interview doesn't have a date on it nor do I know if this is exactly the right section of the forum to post in, but I'm a huge DT fan and I enjoyed reading that DT is willing to be put in the game so I thought I'd share this with people and maybe we can get some DLC DT really really soon. Pretty please HMX.

    Question:
Would you allow your music to be used in a video game such as the Guitar Hero or Rock Band series?

    Answer:
Of Course! We're just waiting for the offer!

DT is custom made for Rock Band. Every part of the band is terrific in skill and versatility(drums and guitar especially). The only reason I would think they haven't been considered is track length but reallly some cuurrent GH songs get up there in length. Come on HMX How much hardcore can you get than DT? Insane drums, incredible guitar, bass lines that don't suck and a singer in the higher register all make for a top of the crop in a Rock band experience.

I don't know it just seems odd that RB is still unable to get certian bands(ZEP ,AC/DC) and plenty of other solid choices go unanswered and instead we get fall out boy. I sound whiney but even naysayers of DT admit that petrucci and portnoy are amazing and considering that drums and guitar are sort of teh big sells of RB maybe it should have a song or two featurering two of the best.

It'd just be helpful to know what douche bag on the song picking consortium hates DT.

    BTW

Wow... I had never heard any DT songs before, but after watching that video...

    DLC!!!! NOW, HMX!!!!!!!!!!

(I only say DLC because they've already announced all the main songs... unless it's going to be a surprise bonus song! That would be awesome!)

    Meh.

I didn't find anything outright amazing about it, and I'm glad they didn't make it on the main disc, but I'm definitely not going to refute any DLC request! I'm looking forward to a vast variety of different genres in DLC!

Now that we have bands like Evile, At the Gates, and The Haunted; Dream Theater is totally possible. We have seen how they deal with double bass in this game, and it works.

And since Mike Portnoy said he is waiting, well, let's hope HMX asked or is asking.

Time to start Requesting DT songs!!

Incubus, Joe Bonamassa, Opeth, and Jeff Buckley.
