After a long time of no rockband, I decide to get back at it. I just bought the keyboard off amazon and it arrives tomorrow. Tomorrow is day I experience keys for the very first time and the first time I play rockband in 8 months. Sounds like a win to me.

    *update*

Oops did I say 8 months.... I meant 15 months!!! My god has it been that long, this website says 487 days since last song played. Crap is there still people playing online? Oh no what did I do!

Welcome back, and yes, there are still lots of people playing online lol. Have a blast, and good luck with the keyboard. A word of advise on the keys....patience is a virtue.

Very talented indeed, he plays in time signatures that even him don't know what they are.

A few days back I mentioned how I gold-starred "Blue Sky," a song I specifically remember not being able to play on expert without no-fail when I first started out. Well...

Believe it or not, two years after RB3's release, I'm still mowing through my existing DLC collection on drums. I'm down to about 70 songs now, all in tier #5 and #6. Last night, "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" came up, much to my dread. Even in the days of RB2 I still could not consistently pass that song, and usually had to rely on overdrive to get me through the bridge and the outtro. This was especially frustrating because none of the patterns in that song are particularly hard, but playing them while keeping proper time and endurance was usually just beyond my reach. I wasn't looking forward to failing the song again, but, I wanted it crossed off the list, so I slogged through it...

...all the way to another gold star! It took the BRE to get the gold, but still, gold!

And then I gathered three more new gold stars after that, all in tiers 3 and 4!

I think a big part of what's helped me improved is realizing I should hit the drums a lot more softly than I have been. I was doing that originally to try and conserve energy and also stop my hands from going numb, but I've discovered it also makes me concentrate more on the chart. Whatever the reason, I'm happy for any improvement I can get!

    Thanks for the advice, Doc!
It's all right. Everything will work out fine.

Picked up more songs, got the 500 Pro Keys streak with Surrender.
We've ended on a sour note:

    Still...thank you for the music
