The past few days I've been replaying all the on-disc tier-5 and tier-6 songs on pro drums, to remember which ones I could pass without "no fail" and which ones need an asterisk by their scores.

Well, it turns out I can now pass all the on-disc tier-5 songs without "no fail," and so far I've managed to pass the first four tier-6 songs as well. I know I once wasn't able to pass "Dead End Friends" and "Roundabout" without a crutch, but now I can!

Even better, I've improved my score on every song I've tried, and added over 400,000 points to my pro drums career score. I am less than 300,000 points shy getting into the top 1%!

I know I still won't be able to pass every song, but the progress I've seen is friggin' sweet!

As of last night, I have played every song in my library on pro drums, all 1,379 tracks with drum parts (not counting 1-lightered songs). The stats (all without "no fail"):

42 hard 5-stars
1 hard 4-star (lousy cotton-pickin' "Visions")
1 song unpassable on expert or hard (curse you, "Operation Ground and Pound")

3 expert 4-stars
3 hard 5-stars ("Caught in a Mosh", "The Beast and the Harlot", "Llama")


I am a little over 100,000 points shy of the top 1% on the on-disc leaderboard, and I'm sitting at #101 on the total leaderboard. I just need to get a teensy bit better!

Woohoo!

After some awesome on-disc improvements on pro drums, including two new gold stars and two new expert five-stars, I am now in the 1%!

I unlocked a goal that also got me some clothes. It just feels weird to unlock a goal at this point. I've had the game since launch.

The goal was 5,000,000 Point Pro Bass Club. It unlocked Complex Napoleon Jacket and Cataclysm Pants.



As you can tell from up there I just today decided to pick up pro bass again. I think I'm doing pretty good. I can get a decent score on the easier stuff on hard. I got ranked 11th on the leaderboard for I've Done Everything For You on my sightread. Still not sure if that's a good thing though.


I bought like 10 pro upgrades today. Not sure if that belongs here or in the fail thread
