Not strictly RB related, but since the game has been responsible for countless additions and upgrades to my drum kit, I'm going to post it here anyway.

tldr; Snagged a new Roland KD-140 for the price of a KD-120.

Early in May (edit: April, not May), I noticed that several of the upgrades I had planned (Roland KD-120,PD-125XS and VH-12) disappeared from Roland's product page. I figured it was time to bite the bullet and order, or risk the possibility of having to purchase the products that replaced them, at a higher price, of course.
So I made the pilgrimage to my local music shop, and did just that.

Fortuitously, as it happens. Roland offered me their demo VH-12, complete with all accessories and full warranty, for what turned out to be $220 off retail. SOLD!

The snare and hi-hat arrived in short order, but there was no sign of the kick. Turns out it was backordered and would be at least a month before more would arrive.

Fast forward to today, 8+ weeks since my initial order. I decided to explore my options as I could see the kick in stock at several online retailers, but before I did, I wanted to check the status of my order. Turns out that it would be at least another three months before Roland would get any more.

But instead of sending me away in search of a site that wouldn't soak me for shipping, Roland offered to sell me a KD-140 in place of the KD-120, and this is the important part, AT THE SAME PRICE AS THE 120!!!!!!!!

    8>

    ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!

For those that don't know, the 120 retails for about $500, while the 140 goes for about $1100.

Once again. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!

Needless to say, I could not wait to accept their generous offer.

Serendipitously, shipping on the 140 should be about a week and a half, which just happens to coincide with my birthday.

    Color me happy!

Very well done! I wish my luck was that good.
It's spelled "Squier." Stop spelling it like someone who is in training to be a knight.

It got a lot better once I beat whatever tier Something Bigger, Something Brighter is in.
Sure there were some songs that were really tough, but nothing made me want to quit Pro Guitar/Bass like that song did. It took me like 2 weeks to get it down right.

Taking on the Harmonix Marathon in RB2. Good thing the opportunity popped up that replaces the last song with Lump. (The last song is Visions, and I wasn't singing).

Got some unlikely gold stars. I blew an OD phrase on Night Lies and ended up hitting notes too early on Rob the Prez-O-Dent and still managed golds on those.
We've ended on a sour note:

    Still...thank you for the music

600 gold stars on pro drums. Woot!

The game made me earn that 600th, too, with "Green Grass and High Tides." It's not hard, but it is loooong...
It's all right. Everything will work out fine.

YUS! I 5 starred all songs on RB3 on Expert Guitar, and Guns Of Summer to net me two goals!

I've only got two left on guitar: One for the Mission Of Burma songs (I don't have them yet) and one for the Final Countdown solo...

I am confident I can get it actually.
