Got 96% on Expert Guitar on 2112 (full song). It's killing me that I am getting close to fc'ing the song.

Going back through RB2, and gold-starring the single song gigs. Shackler's Revenge was going to be one of the last for two reasons:

1. The gig got put in the horrid and dreary little Charles Pub. The stage is in front of the window, which is all rainy outside. An attempt to make the place look "cozier", that comes off as very hokey. Had the stage been on the other side, the venue would be tolerable.

2. The actual song is easiest on drums, and my drums (especially the cymbals) double-hit like hell.


So I decided to suck it up. I even took on "5 stars or lose a boatload of fans". Sure enough, my drums double-hit the intro to death, so I switched to playing pads-only. I stuck it through, and found myself keeping combo through parts I knew damn well I choked (usually, it's the other way around).

Got the gold during the last chorus.

A little imrpovement on Firefight; up to 243k now. Not quite 5 stars yet, but I'm getting there.
Also got 188k on The End of Progress.

96% isn't close to an FC on any song. You need to be able to hit the 4%, not hit the 96%. It's a difficult song that goes on for a while, one mistake can cost you 7-12 minutes, and that's being hopeful. FCs of that song are not that easy.

I finally broke down and reviewed all of my 1568 songs! I did it by how many instruments played each song in band mode
so yeah thats a small victory but it saves so much time now choosing songs
who knows how many times I would
A.not pick at all and just let my friends or randoms pick
B.random pick a song
C.played the same song over and over and not even know
hah

Also been practising the guitar part of AC/DC, and for the most part it's going good (mostly hard, some expert), but those solos... The solos man, they're killing me.

Good luck on guitar. Id like to say I'm pretty good at expert guitar (377 FCs out of 699 songs with guitar has to be fairly good, plus an effort to FC Ride The Lightning sometime soon) and some of these solos still fail me every now and then. Went in pratice mode with them just to see what i could FC right now. Couldn't hit many. The worst is easily Dirty Deeds. Managed only 6/18 ACDC FCs so far, with Hells Bells just added to that list today. Missed in the last 50 notes of Shoot To Thrill today.

My percentages on these songs, when sorted by artist, are: 99%, 99%, 100%, 100%, 99%, 97%, 96%, 98%, 83%, 100%, 100%, 96%, 92%, 100%, 100%, 96%, 95%, and 98%
