Heh. Since I started Bass before guitar, I learnt to up strum with 1 or 2 fingers. I still play like this, except if I'm doing really fast parts then I alt-strum. If I can get the rythm of the alt-strum right, it's not too hard for me.

Eye of the Tiger IMHO is one of the best alt-strum practice songs. Enough changes you need to pay attention, but a strong and well known rhythm. Generally, it's really easy to strum too fast.

Not that I'm very good at alt-strumming either, but I'm better than I was (couldn't do it at all) because of that song.

Finally! After countless attempts I 5 star Caught In A Mosh by Anthrax on Expert Bass. Only 3 more songs left to 5 star on Bass, or just 1 on any instrument (BATH, ).

I only just 5 starred this one. 3,000 less I reckon I'd have 4 starred it.

Good luck with Jerry Was a Race Car driver. I have tried coutless of times to 5 star this one on basic bass, and failed miserably. I feel that I'm gonna have the 5 star on pro bass before basic as it is somewhat easier to hit. Weird huh?

I couldn't even 3-star it on regular Expert. Truly a nightmare to play. Not even fun.

I agree that the basic part isn't fun. The pro part IS fun though.

I wanted to post this before, but couldn't because of the whole thing of board vs. session saving.
My greatest win in the last 7 days was beating the Expert Hall of Fame Setlist on Guitar before unlocking it (since it's the same songs, I figured playing from a difficulty where I'd beaten it before would have the same effect).
Considering my general mediocrity on Expert, it was quite a win for me to get a 4-star average on all of them. Except that I got 3* on Rainbow in the Dark, but managed to 5* Break on Through to compensate (I'm working my way up the tiers, and I can already 5* about half of the songs on Expert - 5G, though, only if it's way too easy).
    Dear HMX,

Please make the dream of thousands of players come true and release a Celebration Day Track Pack.

    Love, HRB
