Your Rock Band victory for the week...!

I'm shopping right now for an Axiom 25 (semi weighted 25 key MIDI controller) to replace my old Evolution MK25 (synth action 25 MIDI controller) that I lost when my house burned.

I still need to mod another MPA for the purpose. I only got to play with that set up for one day before my house caught fire. But that was a great day indeed. I topped all my high scores on every song I played with that combo.

Hopefully with the Axiom I'll do even better. I prefer a lot more resistance on my keybed.

Mod the MPA? for what purpose? I hope you're talking about a way to use a pedal for OD, because I still have trouble activating with the MPA without losing my streak, I keep searching for the pedal to activate, then I realise the only way is that button. I tried the MPA on the keyboard next to the wheels, on the floor to hit it with my foot (really bad idea, doesn't work well), and of course, keeping it on my legs and reach it when I need it, nothing works, I hate the fact that you can't use a pedal with it. A jack input would've been VERY nice, or the option to use sustain pedal for activating OD.

As for beating scores, I'm still getting used to the really fast stuff on weighted keys (that triplet part on free bird for example, I can FC that part no problem on non-weighted keys, but I have trouble keeping the streak with weight, I guess I just need to get used to it). Also, that OD button really doesn't help.

Yeah, thanks to Doc I modified my MPA to accept any keyboard sustain pedal which I used for doing OD.

I just picked up some hardware from Radio Shack today to perform the operation again on a new MPA.

Have to wait for my new soldering set to arrive from amazon before I can do so though.

Well, I had two achievements today, at least by my standards. First, 1st try 100% on the solo for Teenagers, including the trill lanes. Second, 1st try 100% for Party Hard.

Finally bothered to sing all of the base RB3 songs, pushing me well into the top 100 for vox Wii. Hopefully I'll eke out a few better scores, but improvement will be slow now.

How DO you do it? You alternate from inaccurately-easy Medium Vocals to gold-starring multiple songs in a row according to your activity. I only have like 2 gold stars, only one of those which actually count, so yes I am jealous.

That was a good day for Pro Bass today. I got 2 new FCs! Just Like Heaven (about time), and Outer Space (totally random FC). I know that's not an impressive number of FCs, but my count is now to 8.
