I noticed how a few people on this thread were mentioning George Harrison as an under-rated guitarist a few posts ago, and I need to comment on the matter.

George Harrison is not under-rated. George Harrison is just not good at guitar. I PLAY GUITAR BETTER THAN GEORGE HARRISON! For god sakes the best stuff from Harrison was done by an actually good guitarist named ERIC CLAPTON! The only reason he has any merit in the conversation is that he played guitar for The Beatles.

    Senior Moments

Ah man -- all this time later before I remember Glenn Tillbrook of Squeeze. His songwriting perhaps overshadows his guitar work, but he really is a good guitar player. I love the solo in Black Coffee in Bed:

And Pulling Mussels From A Shell:

My one reservation -- he always plays the same solo. I like improvisation.

Also --did anyone mention Mike Campbell?

    BWAHAHAHAHAHA... ahem.

Clapton played guitar on that one.

So where's the love for Paul Speer?
It's all right. Everything will work out fine.
