XBOX Live question: 2 local players AND online players?

If me and a friend want to play online (local) with others (online), how do we do it?

I tried to go to multiplayer, band quickplay, player match. I joined on drums (logged in to my XBL gold acct), my friend then tries to log in to a guest account, but it says "you must have Gold to play online multiplayer" or something like that.

Does each local player need Gold to play multi local players and add online players? What am I doing wrong?

Go to:

Multiplayer > Band Quick Play > Player Match

Person with gold Presses Green first, select your character, THEN the other person logs in under guest and what not, and selects theres, then person with gold searches for players. Thats about it.

Ahh, thanks. It worked when I used a GUEST acct for the second login. I was trying to use another XBL silver acct. thanks again.
