Shame they don't have anything planned for the future...but that talk of a Liquid Tension Experiment reunion makes me very happy.

I haven't listened to the interview yet, but "talk"? It's already happened. I saw the first show that they reunited for, as the Saturday headlining act at this year's NEARfest. AMAZING.

I don't get why the interviewer didn't give Portnoy a real answer and just tell him that they only chart one foot and simplify the bass pedal, it almost came off as snobbish to me.

Actually I did tell him that. "With great difficulty" was the first thing I thought to say when he asked that question and just thought it would be a funny note to end the official interview on. (Plus, I'm not sure exactly what the coders did-- I THINK that if you play it on expert, one of your hands is doing the second bass-drum parts. Believe me, I was lucky to get through the first 90 seconds of it).

Just for the record, I'd be willing to pay more for a DLC song if it's >10 minutes a la stream of consciousness, in the presence of enemies pt 2, or trial of tears.

It would be interesting, though, to have some kind of feature in future rock band revisions that has some unique way to play epically long songs/suites like both parts of in the presence, six degrees, or even classic stuff like In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida

Yeah I definitely want to see some epics like "A Change of Seasons" in the future. Surviving a DT song of that length would definitely rank you up there with some of the best RB players.

It would be so fun.
