Yeah, I know, I was just making space for Radiohead Ok Computer .

It's more likely that we'll get:

Alanis Morissette - Jagged little pills (pop album)
Mötley Crüe - Shout at the Devil (80' glam/hair metal)
    Rush - Permanent Waves
    Nirvana - Nevermind
Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace (modern album, won the Best Rock album at the Grammy Awards)
An album form that list: http://www.amazon.ca/Most-Influentia.../18FI16IHLPO5H
My choices for that list are either:
    Rust in Peace by Megadeth
Cowboys from Hell by Pantera (1 song in RB1)
Ace of Spades by Motrhead (with the release of RB2, along with the Alanis and Nirvana album)

If not Moving Pictures next week then I predict another seminal Boston album....since there doesn't seem to be a lot of lead time before its release...assuming an album does drop on the last week:

    Last Splash - The Breeders
    The Modern Lovers
Don't Look Back or Third Stage - Boston
    Bakesale - Sebadoh
You're Living All Over Me - Dinosaur Jr.
Freeze Frame - J Geils Band
pretty much any of the remaining Pixies albums

My vote would be for either of the first two....though I wouldn't be surprised to see J. Mascis finally since they did put out a press release about him showing up at the offices in February...and it appears to be the first Harmonix rock artist interview they did.

[UOTE=rowdyoctopus;1046674]You guys are not thinking legendary enough.[/QUOTE]

I agree other then Blondie. Too much new stuff being brought up. Pop is a difficult one though. I really don't know much pop so it's hard to guess on that.

What I would like for Metal though would be Pantera "Cowboys from hell" or something that would be a personal favorite of mine Mercyful Fate "Melissa", though I know that's only wishful thinking for myself. But since they are doing a metal album, it better be heavy and kick ass. NO Metallica Black album stuff, please. That's more like rock to me, not very metal (Yes I'm one of those that lost faith in Metallica since then).

It's been forever since I listened to any Deep Purple, so I better check that out with people bringing it up, time to fire up the turntable. Anyway, not sure if I would rather go for AC/DC or Deep Purple. Deep Purple makes more sence for Metal considering AC/DC is more rock. I guess only time will tell. But there have been some good albums listed in this thread.
    Blessed are the SIC!!

Jagged Little Pill ? Nope. Love Alanis' voice and songwriting, but there are too many tracks that wouldn't work in RB at all, on account of having either no bass, or mainly accoustic guitar. Very light on the drumming is Alanis, too.

I'd buy it regardless should they put it out, but I doubt it'll happen.
European RB2 release dates must be announced. Oh, and every day they aren't, cute kittens will die. I'm a man of my word.

Personally I would love Ten by Pearl Jam
but as an alternative album Surfer Rosa by the Pixies would rule, it's a million times better than doolittle. "Where is my Mind" anyone?

For metal Cowboys From Hell would be just plain sickening cause it's that awesome.

As for a pop album, well I'm at a loss here, it depends on how they define pop.
    654 songs and counting.

Also, since nobody is closing this thread, does it mean that hmx is confirming this 6 album thing as gospel?

Since when has Jagged Little Pill been considered pop?
"When someone says something it better, that is normally just their opinion"

Incubus, Joe Bonamassa, Opeth, and Jeff Buckley.

Y'know, Children of Bodom would rock for the metal album.
