Nicest Men and Biggest Jerks in Rock

Oh yeah. Dave Grohl deserves his title of "Nicest man in rock". I have met him on two separate occasions and he is a ****ing cool dude.

The most bizzare encounter i've had with a music celebrity is actually with Chris Pennie. It was actually the very first time i saw Coheed with Chris Pennie as their drummer.Me and a couple of my buddies were sitting outside the venue waiting in line.It was about noon,and we had gotten there really early to get a good spot and all that. Coheed has a history of coming out and talking to the people who are waiting in line really early.So he comes walking out and the first thing out of his mouth is "Does anybody know where the closest Taco Bell is?".Long story short,one of my buddies stays behind to hold our spot in line,and two of us drive Chris pennie to a Taco Bell.He is really appreciative and we get to go in early ( these were the pre-black card days,mind you),and basically hang out in the venue hours before the show starts.I met everyone from Coheed that day,and all of them were very cool.The last time i met coheed,i brought that up,and all of them started laughing really hard,they apparently had been talking about it on the bus ride into town.

So yeah,that was unique.


Also, i met Mike Dirnt in a burger king and he signed my sandwich Wrapper,which i still have to this day. It reads "Enjoy your crispy chicken deliciousness, from Mike Dirnt". so yeah that was pretty weird,too.


How is it me meeting bands i like is somehow always tied to fast food?

First person that came to my head was Dave Grohl. Such a talented person.

Dave Grohl disappointed me when he just walked off after Them Crooked Vultures finished their set. I hope he just really had to dump.

He's two-faced. He'll be nice to fans, but he's a jerk when he doesn't get his way and he's arrogant.

My statement was the fact that he seems almost endearing in his arrogance... it's not an act, it's not overblowing things... that's just him.

The dudes from Trivium. They are very appreciative of their fans and are very humble and down to earth people. I've been to several of their concerts and every time before and after shows they have time to hang out with fans and sign some autographs and stuff. Their is also a video of them watching a cover of one of their songs and they seemed to really enjoy it.

The guys from Sylosis, and Mastodon are pretty cool as well.

Jerks: David Byrne

He is by far the biggest jerk in rock. He is the poster child of arrogant, pretentious ***** and he treated the rest of his band like they weren't worth a damn. Also, he is the single contributing reason to why the Talking Heads won't ever do a reunion tour.
