Dee Snider seems like a decent guy.

The nicest, most calm and mellow man in music is Paul Masvidal of Cynic. Seriously, he is the last guy you would expect to see in a Progressive Death Metal band. He is just so zen and has such a kind face. I've never seen a picture of him angry or even expressing any aggression. Complete pacifism from him.

Pretty needless to say, but here goes:

    Brian Chippendale(lightning bolt)

After parking their van behind my car he pops out, even being an hour late to the venue he still took his time to talk to me and sign my black pus 1(and even remembering me from the forums). After the show we talked for like 30 minutes about what, I have no idea! One of the most positive dudes I've ever met.

Brian Gibson was pretty cool too, though he's more shy like me so conversation wasn't as in depth.

    Nice:

    The Silversun Pickups!

Ok, I was down last year in New Orleans for Voodoo Fest. I'm walking by the signing booth and look who's behind it without a line? Well they were going to be shooting a commercial for F.Y.E. but I ran into the qeue before they could rope it off. Insted of sending me and 5 other people away they all signed my shirt, shook my hand, and talked to star struck me on a very human level. IT WAS AWESOME

    Gogol Bordello

This experiance comes from my dad at Lollapalooza this year. Gogol is having a designated signing event. The kicker? Only ONE item is to be signed and the line is to move as fast as it can. My dad mentions that we (he and I) were up front for them not only at Lollapalooza but at Voodoo fest last year. Hertz recognizes my dad stands up, shakes his hand, thanks him then signs his CD personally on top of the signed shirt the whole band did. Respect.

    Henry Rollins

Story related by a co worker. After a speaking show Henry did in Denver some years back, a fan locked herself out of her car. Word somehow gets back to Henry and insted of sending someone out or telling management, he takes a coat hanger from his wardrobe and helped the girl himself. Beyond that he hangs out after every show with anybody camping his bus and is a really nice guy.

    Sunny Day Real Estate:

Another co worker's story (I work at a record store) A long time fan she clames to have hung out with them on many ocasions and had dinner with the band all the while forgetting these were the members of Sunny Day just by how down to earth they all were. Nice people.

    Jerks:

    Carlos Denenger (Interpol)

And for some reason he's the member of Interpol most talked about?

King Diamond is on the nice side? That's incredibly surprising.
Sonata Arctica is in Rock Band. This is officially the greatest thing ever.

It seems that YOU are the one living under a rock if you think either is a nice guy. I will elaborate further if you insist, but I really have no desire for another discussion about The Beatles.

Another nice guy: Phideaux Xavier. The guy has a very carefree, almost wondrous approach to his fans, almost as if this was just a hobby to him (which, technically, it is in some ways).

Never met him personally, but from what i have read Donovan seems to be a very nice person (except for the fact that he slipped LSD into his girlfriends drink without telling her once).

From the ones i have actually met, Timo Luttinen (Impaled Nazarene) and Demonos Sova (Barathrum) were both pretty much jerks; drunk, selfish and full of themselves....
