I'm a bit limited on live albums, I aim for studio albums for the most part. My choices are...
Rush-At the World's Stage, Exit...Stage Left, Rush in Rio
I am limited![]()
I wish to be a magician of words!
Live At Leeds-The Who
live at the Filmore-Allman Brothers
the best
"The Clash were a punk band formed in the late 19th Century consisting entirely of pirates."-uncyclopedia
Most wanted song: Tommy Gun-the Clash
S.O.D. - Live at Budokan
Lou Reed - Rock N Roll Animal
Jimi Hendrix - Live at Woodstock
Sepultura - Under a Pale Grey Sky
Really, Stage? Bowie is one of my favorites, and I love Bowie at the Beeb, but I'd probably put Stage, and David Live for that matter, on my list of worst live albums ever.
Not rock, but still my favorite live albums:
DJ Shadow- In Tune And On Time
Daft Punk- Alive 2007
I like both for the same reason. All the songs I love are on the cd, but they're reworked for a live setting which adds some life to the music. I'm always a little bored when I go to a show and the band's performance is just a reproduction of their cd's note for note, or as close as they can manage it. I like to see artists push things in a different direction when playing live.
Live at the Royal Albert Hall-The Who
The 33+ minute version of Young Man Blues is what makes it worth it.
Despite all my rage, I'm still just Nicolas Cage
Made in Japan-Deep Purple
Live in Munich 1977- Rainbow
Live at Leeds- The who
S&M- Metallica
AC/DC Live: Collector's Edition- AC/DC
