This strikes me as a polarizing, love it or hate it band, but I was indifferent to it. Nothing stood out but nothing was grating either. Her voice may qualify as the most average thing I have heard.

Normally I'd go into steampunk related things with a completely dismissive attitude because I can't stand a lot of what comes from it (though there are a few good books) but this was honestly pretty interesting. Liked the violin solo in the middle, and the song itself was pretty fun actually

Very good song, though when I first heard just the guitar it I had a negative prediction for where the song would turn out, but it had some great vocals along with their shoegaze/dream pop sound that was incorporated. Quite good indeed.

I'll attempt to be as objective as I can with this since I hate most melodeath with a passion.

The riffs were alright, keyboards were actually very tastefully done, and I was actually enjoying it until the ****ing sweep picked solo came on. I don't think I've ever heard a sweep picked solo in power metal/melodeath that I've ever enjoyed because they just do it so badly all the time. The little bass bit right after it was nice though.

Overall: Nothing I'd listen to by my own choice, but not bad.

I don't know what to make of this song, David. Seems very drawn out but that may be the point. But I would need more extended listens to give a proper opinion.
