So this band Polysics is a Japanese band that I recently started getting into because of a friend, and I think they're neat!

Anyway, so I'm listening to some of my newly acquired music from them, and one of the "Albums" I have is called "Live @ KEXP," which is a radio station in Seattle, WA (KEXP 90.3FM).
So yeah, this band was interviewed by the guy doing "The Afternoon Show," and he mentions that the band was formed in 1997 and was inspired by their love of Devo.

I think this interview was done around 2005, 2006, since he mentions their new album "Now is the time!" being released "a few weeks ago" (album was released in '05 in Japan, '06 in US), which said album was co-produced by Andy Gill of "Gang of Four." He also mentions how they were dressed in "Devo-esque red jumpsuits and great glasses," and they were set to play a show Portland the next day.
So, I just came on here to make this thread because I thought it was cool how RB just released Devo, and 1 of the bands I'm into right now was inspired by Devo, so yeah... Cool coincidence that I thought I'd share with you all.
Here is a pic of Devo:

And here is a pic of Polysics:

And finally, here is a video of one of the songs I like the best (Trippy video!! @_@):

I know their music won't appeal to many of the people here on the boards, but ah well. If RockBand: Japan ever does happen, I hope Polysics is on the bill. At the time of the interview, they had about 10 albums total in Japan, of which 4 were available for purchase in the US. Peace out!
