I am VERY disappointed in the lack of Rivers Cuomo, that guy wrote some bad ass songs in the 90's.

I'll try this, although I'll only list singers to make this easier for me.

    1. Beck (solo)
    2. Thom Yorke (Radiohead)
    3. Richard Ashcroft (The Verve)
    4. Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine)
    5. Matthew Bellamy (Muse)
    6. Michael Stipe (R.E.M.)
    7. Frank Black (Pixies)
    8. Peter Hayes (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club)
    9. Morrissey (The Smiths/solo)
    10. Chris Cornell (Soundgarden)
Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

Even though System of a Down are usually thrown in there, I've never seen a reason that they should be considered Nu-metal. I mean, they lack the teenage angst, and overall poor musicianship.

    see: subculture.

It has no musical/lyrical links, even though sometimes common.

Musically I think they have quite a lot in common with Korn.
Well, everyone, prepare to have your guts kicked out by folk singers...
