Idea: Rock Band Online Radio Station

Oh, I would definitely be interested. Great idea, Schizoid. We need a mod to sticky this thread as well.

Unfortunately, I couldn't really contribute to the money aspect, seeing as I'm 16, refuse to get a job and spend all of my money on music as soon as I get it, haha. Would love to help contribute ideas, songs and bands, though.

i kinda took this idea from the blog thread, figured they would go kinda hand-in-hand, this way people don't need to download the stuff to listen to it, they could hear it on the radio station then be like "omg, this rocks!" and put go to the blog to download it and the other songs by either the artist of similar genre songs

I think it would definitely work well. That's really my problem with some music blogs I download from. When there's a lot of material that you don't know out there, you're shooting in the dark. If we can get a radio up, it would give people the exposure they need to make an easier decision.

It would be awesome if we could get this working.

like I said, im not too familiar myself, ive just been wanting to do this for a while and didn't have anyone else to do it with and it takes many people, prolly more like playlists at a time

i'm honestly way too wasted to do it tonight, but i'll check into some options tomorrow if no one else does it beforehand...

right now i think imeem.com might be a really good option, but i'm admittedly new to the web-site so i may be totally wrong. we'll see!!!

Alternatively we could set up a podcast (or podcast series). Not quite the same, but we could have a podcast about music, bands, or a genre and play a couple songs each time.

Also, if we set up like a radio station, I say we have a DJ rotation .
