Would really love to hear Avril Lavigne, Evanescence, even...ahem Aly & AJ. Hey, there are some younger players who love the game, but have limited selections.
Mississippi Queen seems a bit odd coming from a 6 and 8 year old
BTW: Kudos to the devs for creating such a great game and it's mostly family friendly.
Indeed it is an obvious choice, may be kinda expensive for the devs as well since they are still touring and stuff, I always have a place in my um, er, um heart for Heart 1st concert i ever went to and i've seen them live a few times after .... this much i know .... the studio doesnt do her justice at all ... she is freakin awesome live .... another that's much better live would be Natalie Merchant (10,000 Mainiacs) very unique voice ... they could even go the cutsie route ... like mb Natalie Imbrugia (another Natalie), or even dare i say ... Sarah Donelly from Belly (if anyone remembers those guys)

+1 for Auf der Maur
Damone and Jucifer would also be sweet.
I wouldn't mind having some Hammers of Misfortune on here (they have songs with purely female vocals, and I enjoy them quite a bit).
For what it's worth, Op, you just turned me on to Emilie Autumn.
"Wow, she's kinda cute... I'll see what the song/video sounds like...
Huh... that's actually pretty good."
PSN: Hydrophobicfish
All DLC Downloaded. Expert Drums, Expert vocals (platinum), Hard guitar/bass.
We need Heart. Trying to sing anything that Anne did would probably be DEADLY to a lot of potential vocalists. :P
And more Paramore. And maybe some Evanescence.
But putting female vocals into the game just for the sake of having female vocals? Nah, that's lame. Put 'em in because they'ed be fun to play.
Part of the joy of the thread. I really enjoy her as well - though a couple of the songs sour. Her amazing violin playing is pretty wonderful by itself.
I'm a little.. stymied I suppose, by the comments on people like Evanescence or Kittie.. I guess just a matter of taste but certainly not that people I would like.
Getting Sleater-Kinney this week though is a huge boon to my spirits.
