Rock Band 2 Midnight Releases

The release of Rock Band 2 is almost upon us, and the fine Xbox 360 users on these forums will probably be interested in getting Rock Band 2 and getting it as soon as possible. I did not find another thread like this, but if it exists then feel free to shut this down.

If you have a confirmed midnight release for Rock Band 2 (disc only for 360) on September 14, please post it on this thread. I will compile the posts as often as possible on this first post to help out other RB fans looking for a store near them.

From what has been posted, 24-hour Wal-Mart locations should be releasing the game at midnight. Check with your store for details.

Some users have been told that GameStop as a company will not be holding midnight releases for the game because it is disc-only and only for X360, so make sure to double-check with a posted GameStop before Saturday night!

CHECK BLOCKBUSTER LOCATIONS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! MANY BLOCKBUSTERS ARE SELLING THE GAME AT OR AROUND MIDNIGHT, BUT MOST HAVE VERY FEW COPIES (USUALLY ONLY 1-2 COPIES PER STORE FOR PRESALE).

I know that the Walmart a few miles from here, which is a 24 hour one, will have RB2. My cousin works there so I called him about it. Anyone around Louisa, Kentucky? No? Ah well, this one's all mine then.



Kidding, o'course. I can't drive and I won't be waking dad up to take me there at midnight...

He gets up early, so we'll be heading to walmart to get it around 6 or 7 AM probably. If they have any mics I'll be buying that too, otherwise just the GH2 guitar.

I called pretty much every Walmart in the SF Bay Area. The only one I found that was open past midnight was Union city and he said they didn't have it.

So I tried Gilroy, since it was mentioned here, and he said that they're sold out.

I also tried 6 Blockbusters, but none are open past midnight, and none would sell it to me early.

Any word on any store in the SF Bay Area?

They had stacks of flyers at the register touting their midnight release.

Just got back from Turnersville, NJ Wal-Mart with my copy! Woo-hoo!! I hope you got there early, flyarz, as they waited until midnight to announce they only had 20 copies. There were about 70 people in line, I'd guess. I was 5th or 6th The line's were so ****ed by the end, I couldn't tell.

Nope, I was at the end of the line. Only about 10-15 people didn't get copies. Weird that a huge Wal-Mart like that would only have 20 copies.
