    Best Beatles cover songs

Ok I am a huge Beatles fan and I am a strong believer that most Beatles cover songs are not that great and therefore should not be attempted. However, I am sure many of you would disagree. I would like to hear what covers you think are good.

There are only two Beatles covers that I believe are pretty good. One of them I think is better than the original actually and that is "With a little help from my friends" by Joe ****er. The other cover I can tolerate is Fiona Apple's cover of "Across the Universe".

Yes did a cover of "Every Little Thing" that is vastly superior to the original.

I'm sure you'll get some noms for Aerosmith's cover of Come Together, but personally I don't think it adds much to the original.

I'm not big fan of the recent covers of Eleanor Rigby -- Pain and Godsmack, for example. Give this one a chance:

Your opinion is not objective, you don't like the Beatles lol.
It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now.

That cover really seems to have brought highly divided opinions. One thing that's clear to me -- it really highlights how great John and Paul were as a singing duo. The Yes vocals are weak. I can kind of take the extended prog intro, and the stops and starts in rhythm.

So I guess on balance I think it's a decent enough cover. But I'll take the original.
