Sure a Devil expert 85% shouldnt lose to a 6 lvl 100% But hell if the 100% can get the crowd going better then then the 85% they got my vote. Like real rock stars its all about the fans after all ;D

Like them dudes who played green grass and high tides. They did great but kinda just stood there. Even little things like headbanging, playing behind your head, or something will please the crowd better. Also playing songs that people can appeal to by haivng them say 'hey I know this song' and getting pumped up is a gamble to. The kids that did the Middle took that risk and suceeded. Our band played Tom Sawyer and we seemd to lose a bit on that gamble by missing a few key drum parts and bass lines. At first i complained because the judge took off points for not doing the original version of the song but irs ranked higher on difficulty so we figured we'd get better scores if we did that. Now looking back on it it seems we needed Geddy Lee's voice and we would of did better. Im not complaining just making a point that some songs can make a crowed feel for your band alot. Key point is though is when your playing... Look bad ass while doing it. Sure you may miss a few notes that will make you only get a 98% and may even get a low score technicly. But fans vote makes everything.

Also, I've been thinking about the Games and Stuff tournament. I'm not sure if either of our drummers can make it, so we need to find a new drummer or singer, depending on which song we end up with. I'm pretty good with either, but we'd be a bit pickier finding a singer.

Also also, since you can play in multiple bands, I wouldn't mind putting together a supergroup, if anyone needs expert vox/drum/bass. Just let me know before Saturday. Or even approach me on Saturday, I don't mind.

This could be interesting. If we're allowed to become free agents then that's great; it's just more chances to play. And since it sounds like high scoring is the goal, it would behoove all bands to have a full 4 members.

I can do Expert(any) and Jecca can do Ex(vox/bass) + Hard(gtr/drum). We'd fill out any needed slots in Breathing Manually, and maybe some of you guys can fill out Lunar Eclipse. Which parts we'd need will depend on what song we have to play (sounds like the venue picks the song). But between all of us we ought to be able to put together two pretty decent bands.

    Sorry I don't have an FF7 costume though .

i'm going to try to make it down this weekend. I'm in the baltimore rock band video (from last year's tour) and my picture is in my profile now for people to be able to tell who i am.

Not a problem on the costumes, I'm not going to dress up too much. We might be full for spots, though. Our main problem is that a friend of ours wants to compete in our band, but wants to play guitar, meaning I'd have to put aside our current guitarist, or have someone play on a lower difficulty on drums, which I'd rather not do. Don't want to upset my friends, but don't want to do too badly. But like I said, I'll pretty much be whoring myself out to any band who needs a member. Expert drums or vocals is my preference, depending on the song of course. I doubt it'll be something like Panic Attack, but I've beaten it before on everything but bass (never tried), so I'll be ready.

Unless someone writes it down as their choice, those dreaded songs may (or may not) end up being the one chosen! It's really up to whoever's there to decide what song is it. But, you know, there's always at least 1 person who's going to throw a wrench into things...

Oh, so we're not going to throw any choices out? I actually would rather do Panic Attack and struggle with it than have to do So Whatcha Want for example. The problem with So Whatcha Want is it's pretty boring on every single instrument. Heck, you can 100% that on expert bass with your eyes closed.

Throw down Spoonman. That song is extremely hard to sing right now. I've actually failed it once everytime I've played it. That hasn't happened since early RB days. And then it made me feel slightly better than it was 7 for vox.

If you know the song super well it's not too bad. I actually have no problems singing it. I think it's because I've heard that song a ton of times on the radio and so the pitches have gotten enough in my head.

...but you're definitely not alone. Most singers I know struggle with Spoonman.

If Spoonman gets picked, I have no problems singing it for people. Saaaaaaaaaave meeeeeeee. SAVE!

It might be fun to do a "Survive Painkiller" side tournament on expert. Just to see who lives the longest or passes it.
