Bands that get more hate than they deserve

Which bands do you think get more hate than they deserve?

Personally, I don't think that any band deserves to be hated because if someone likes it, then it's good for them. If any band can make someone else feel the same way you do about your favorite band, then who are you to say that it sucks? That being said, the hate is never going to stop so let's discuss it!

I picked:

DragonForce: They are known to be the worst live band ever by people who have never seen them live. Also people say that all of their songs sound the same. You could say the same thing about AC/DC, but a lot of people dig the sound so if they like it let them like it.

Jonas Brothers: They are no different then any other disney/child pop act so I don't know why everyone hates them more than any of the others.

Nickleback: There are ton's of mediocre rock bands out there, but it just got popular to make fun of this one.

Kiss: I actually like Kiss. They play fun music. Are they in it for the money? Yes. Does that mean their songs aren't fun to listen to? No! I'm not going to listen to them for any deep meanings, but if I just want something fun to drive and yell along to, sure I'll put in a kiss CD.

Fallout Boy: This is similar to Nickleback. They are no worse than any of the other bands in their genre, yet everyone puts all of the hate on them.

Hair Metal: Similar to Kiss for me. I love rocking out to hair metal. Yes it's corny, and yes the lyrics are really dumb, but that's why I enjoy it. It's just good fun, happy music. Turn up the volume and just rock out to it.

I didn't choose:
Metallica: I don't even care about the whole "sellout" or Lars is a douche Napster thing, but I just plain don't think their music is any good. If you're going to produce few amazing albums and then start making **** albums, then you should be ready for all **** coming your way.

Slipknot: I have a biased opinion against Slipknot, I just really don't like them. Nothing about their music appeals to me. And it doesn't help that everyone tries to convince me that Joey Jordison is a drumming god. I think that they get hated on just as much as they should (which tbh, compared to the other bands on this list, it isn't that much).

i think all of them probably get more hate than they deserve, but also more love than they deserve.
it's very hard for me to conjure up any strong emotions for any of that besides hair metal, which i enjoy.

The only one I could bring myself to vote for is "Newer Metallica"

Because way too many old Metallica fans act like the band sinned the ultimate sin and should be shot into the sun for their blasphemous crimes.

Hair metal and Kiss. Hair metal is just fun, it's not supposed to be a bunch of complex music, and a lot of it is pretty good (Motley Crue). Kiss's early stuff is actually really good, before they were making money with anything they released, their main goal was still money, but they didn't have it yet, so they had to put out really good music.

I voted all of them.

DragonForce are critized too often for being a studio band, and they don't take themselves seriously enough for much of the hate they get.

Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas are just a harmless fad. They will fade away soon enough. Creed are far worse.

Nickelback....Hating Nickelback is almost as generic as Nickelback themselves.

KISS is A Metal Boy Band. They were a fad that is not in extreme presence today.

Fall Out Boy had their time in the Sun already for the most part. And they are the defining Chicago 3rd Wave Emo band.

Slipknot.....See Nickelback.

Current Metallica made great albums, just bad Metallica albums. If KoRn did St. Anger they would be Metal Gods. If Velvet Revolver did Load or Re-Load those albums would be Rock Classics.

I agree. Slipknot's not that bad some of their songs are quite catchy take Wait and Bleed for example.
